I just wanted to let you all know that my husband received his passport today with visa and landing papers after seeing Decision Made on Monday. And just another fyi..his address never changed to Canada on his Ecas- so it's not something to worry about.

He'll be flying to Canada September 14th.

Thank you all for the support and i wish you all a speedy process. I have no idea how he got his visa in the middle of this strike, but we are thankful and looking forward to a bright future.

He'll be home in time for both kids birthdays

u know in apr 2013 thread, i guess its havanna , they got call from visa n has asked to come on 27 aug with their pp n will gte visa stamp on the saame day ! how lucky

Hello Skas13, Congrats on your PR. I am a Feb applicant too, am asking just out of curiosity did you applied for GCMS notes before? I wanted to know if this delays the process. Please let me know.

I applied for GCMS notes on the 8th of August LOL. Little did I know our file was in process. I am curious as to what they will say when i get them. It will be interesting to read their thought process.
I heard it doesn't slow your case down, and it might give you some insight as to where they are in the process.

OK, thanks for the reply. I applied for GCMS notes on July12th and got them on Aug 13th. I came to know interview is wavered and relationship looks to be genuine. When I check the status I only see App received since more than 5 months now. Well all I can do now is wait and wait !!!!!!

Where we can find on CIC website that canadian PR can not stay outside Canada ( with their spouse ) for more than 3-4 weeks...i didn't find it.....can someone help me plzzzzz

To answer your question.

There is nothing written on any website for how long you can stay outside of Canada when you applied for your spouse case because firstly if you are not a Canadian citizen then it is assume that the longer you stay away from the country the more questions it will raised. Question's such as the couples don't want to live in Canada for they might only want to get the PR or citizenship of Canada. Another the couple's are not in a genuine relationship and the marriage doesn't look authenticating meaning it is A FRAUD.

Agreed and in case if you like to live in India for longer period of time (lot of people does it)...Just call the CIC and inform them that you will be out of country......So far i have not heard single person rejected or delayed for this reason....
