Be realistic here....you should try for entry level jobs....mean anything u can get in your field...specially the job u r looking for.... most of these s are in markham, mississauga and downtown.....build your resume with some Canadian experience in your field even starting from futureshop, bestbuy or anything u can get....if possible do some kind of course related to your job....it will help....

Networking is the key ...make sure u do not waste ur time with non serious people

I used to tell folks about jobs and Toronto for new immigrants ( this after seeing the job scene ) . Look up in the sky - you see that plane arriving? there are at least 10 immigrants in there. You see that newspaper in front of you, everyone will apply for those jobs
Out the 10 - 3 might get lucky to find jobs in their field, rest will do odd jobs, drive cabs, sell gas, work at FS/BB/Staples/the Brick etc ( with some inside help ), some will study and eventually 5-6 years down the line, things will slowly start to work out

If you have some $$, you can go for some franchise business. Toronto ppl must have heard of Cadet Cleaners, I owned one of those franchises but the locale wasn't that great, but given the right spot - good money and you are the boss ( preferable to family to run it )

*Was in Toronto from 2000-2005*, came as a student

see the charges on hearing schedule of 4-8 Nov. with section 106 charges are duty to bargain in good faith.

which is described at pafso.news of 31 july mentioning section 106.

check history treasury board of canada once filed against PAFSO with the same charges on 24 march 2001 in PSLRB.

and on 20 april 2001 PSLRB gave decision to wave the charges against PAFSO.

i am sending one screen copy of this entire forum to the news channel to show the world that pafso and treasury board has done insane worse than terrorists....

hey if you can please direct me to the news email that i can convey our suffering. I need the email and the reporter has to be active please.

I recommend folks to come to Vancouver..contrary to what I thought I got awesome response ( 2005+) here and had to quit a new job next day coz I was offered a better one. I also see lotta new immigrants getting jobs in their field..met a new immigrant in my company who landed 2 mnths ago from Chandigarh..60k job in 2 months of landing via agency..(tech job)..now he makes around 80k..called his friend from Toronto who was hesitant but made it and no issues getting decent job..I think it was the reputation..if Toronto doesnt have then no chance in Vancouver. ..There were articles in newspaper where store and restaurant owners were asking for employees, there was immense shortage.
Recently an old buddy was in Vancouver for business, he has a reputable recruiting agency for hospitality. He was arranging employees for subway workers..yes..there is shortage of subway sandwich makers here

Hello, I was wondering how long do I have to wait after I receive my AOR for it to show on my application status? I received my AOR in my email however, whenever I enter in all my information to check my application status it lists a bunch of reasons as to why it may not be in process as of yet. Is this normal?
