NEW DELHI - 2013 APPLICANTS.

One news regarding MP Enquiry-
I had requested one MP from Toronto east. He emailed NDVO on Aug 12 and i got reply from him yesterday. It took 7 days to get reply from NDVO. The content of the reply from NDVO is this:
Dear Mr. Kellway
This refers to your enquiry mentioned below.
This application is currently awaiting initial review by a visa officer, following which we will contact the applicant directly to advise of any additional information or action required. We are striving to make our processing of Family Class applications as efficient as possible. We continue to meet our commitment to a service standard of 6 months to finalization for at least 80% of cases for sponsored spouses, partners and children. Processing times are calculated from the date of application approved by Case Processing Centre, Mississauga, after which it is sent to the visa office for further processing........blah blah blah

So it seems that the application processing doesnt get started till the passport is submitted.
Or do they do some other backend processes in parallel?
Since we still haven't received the PPR... I don't think they have touched our case as well. 6 months and 80% go out of the window when you look at the applications here on the forum.

Who are these 80% with finalized applications??? *strokes chin*

My COUSIN APPLIED IN JUNE 2013. GOT APPROVED IN JULY AND GOT PASSPORT REQUEST TODAY. Took exactly 2 months so far..

Look at how it works, schwrizer!
We'll have to leave our partner in India and stay in Canada while the process is going on.
CIC will not issue visitor visa for our partner while the process is going on.
It seems like we have to go through this mandatory punishment to stay away from each other.
Ridiculous, isn't it?

Don't know how they process as they treat each case in a different way may be because of different Visa officers. In your case you might have missed PPR. One applicant who have missed PPR got DM check (http://www.trackitt.com/member/vkuppam/1#fp) so anything is possible over here.

Thanks for the answer, unfortunatly we don't have MOC anywhere in our notes. In fact it looks like they are hiding some informations in our section notes. They are hiding 3/4 of their notes. So it is probably saying their doubts in that hiden section.

I dont see MOC in my gcms notes too. But it says (not in exact words): mrriage seems to have followed the customs, couples look genuine in during marriage and after marriage photos and interview waiver recommended. That's all. It seems to me, this is better than something like 'more scrutiny' required. All these are found in my notes section in the last page. Note that my eligibity is still 'In progress'.

Anishka, does your notes say something like this having words such as recommended interview waiver or recommended pass? If that's the case, I would say you don't have to worry!

Ridiculous is an understatement, it works like an insane asylum. lol

Hmm that's good to know. They may have submitted the PP later after missing the initial PPR. In our case I am waiting for the notes or some communication to come back regarding the PPR and we can send the PP over. Let's see.
