Don't worry they are working in random order or may be on the basis of medicals, as Dec applicants are also getting response. You'll also get update in coming days.JN 009 said:Why is NDVO ignoring jan applicants ?

Every passing day feels like a year..hope we all receive visa very soon
Honestly I have NO IDEA how these visa officers work. I am sure they have a system that makes sense to them but that we can't understand from the outside. I mean didn't a May applicant get a DM this week?can_4visa said:Don't worry they are working in random order or may be on the basis of medicals, as Dec applicants are also getting response. You are right, he's supposed to pick Passport today....no news from him... ???skas13 said:Honestly I have NO IDEA how these visa officers work. I am sure they have a system that makes sense to them but that we can't understand from the outside. I mean didn't a May applicant get a DM this week?
Although I feel so grateful we got our DM (though still waiting for passport), I still can't help but pray and hope the people who applied before me get their DM's soon. This process is hard enough as it is, and to see people getting decisions who applied later, is hard.
The good news is it does seem that NDVO is finally working a little faster. This board has been very quiet since the end of June. And let's hope the PSLRB decides the case quickly and then VO's can go back to working like normal.

I had requested one MP from Toronto east. He emailed NDVO on Aug 12 and i got reply from him yesterday. It took 7 days to get reply from NDVO. The content of the reply from NDVO is this:
Dear Mr. Kellway
This refers to your enquiry mentioned below.
This application is currently awaiting initial review by a visa officer, following which we will contact the applicant directly to advise of any additional information or action required. We are striving to make our processing of Family Class applications as efficient as possible. We continue to meet our commitment to a service standard of 6 months to finalization for at least 80% of cases for sponsored spouses, partners and children. Processing times are calculated from the date of application approved by Case Processing Centre, Mississauga, after which it is sent to the visa office for further processing........blah blah blah
