Peeps,

Look at this .
I know its serious stuff .

Many of us in this forum (including me) were assuming , a passport request means no interview - this post was a shock to me.
I just wanted to post it here so our forum members can be prepared for anything beforehand.

For New Delhi applicants its the norm that they ask for passport very soon in the process. Asking for passport doesnt mean there wont be interviews and other document requests. Please refer to the 2012 spreadsheet to get an idea. Once the status changes to inProcess then its 99% sure they wont ask for an interview.

I don't think it is written anywhere that the translation has to be done by a notary. If nobody is doing the translation, you can actually translate by yourself and get it notarized.

I dont even think the notaries have time to read the document. What I have seen is you do the translation and they stamp it without even looking at the originals.
Thanks James atleast you agreed with me. I have done +1 rating for you :)

Thanks mickeyindia,

I have read your answer in other forum
thanks once again...:)

@ Other Forum Members:
I have seen many people who don't know that they can actually ask CIC to send you all the details regarding their history with CIC since they first apply for any kind of visa at CIC

Please follow the following URLs provided by mickeyindia and you can ask for this at the cost of may be $5.00
This will provide you detailed history of all your files and the VO comments for anything

@ Senior Members: Correct me if I am wrong here

You are right.
Do not waste time on ordering this if you are on schedule.

there are several occurances where ordering a note might help you
1)Denied.
2)Got an interview call . Notes will help you what was wrong in your profile made them call you for an interview
3)Unforseen delays in your application

Also keep in mind ,notes take anywhere around 30 days to receive once ordered. So make sure you have the patience to wait for it.

Folks,

For PPR to NDVO , do we have to send them a return envelope or something to VO to send us our passports once approved?
People who already submitted their passports , get back to me please.

Happy Friday :):):)

We got our SA on March 18th and the file was transferred to ND that same day. Everyone in my month (feb 2013) has received an PPR except us. Any insights? Anyone else experience what this could mean??

Thanks

What does your status say on eCAS? My wife's file was transferred to NDVO on Mar 28 so I'm hoping for a PPR next week. But you never know...

My status says decision made (SA), his says says Applications received (Feb 21st). I just find it unsettling that everyone in our moth received a PPR and we haven't. Some with SA's received a week or two after us.
Just wondering if anyone knows what this could mean?

What's your timeline like? Can you share your timeline in detail? When you click on the link "Application received" What does it say? Does it mention anything about the medicals received? My file was transferred to NDVO on 13th Feb 2013 and I got the PPR on 9th March 2013. Post that I am still waiting to hear from them and my E-cas status(Given below) remains the same.

Given below is mine. Hope my timeline when compared to yours could help you understand how it flows.

Visa office - New Delhi
Application Sent - 4th Jan 2013
Application Received by CIC as per tracking -7th Jan 2013

AOR (if any) - Not sure about this one. Whether you are asking for the AOR my husband received(Don't know about that) or the one I
received (Btw I received the AOR on 9th March in which they had asked for my Passport to be sent to them)
Sponsorship Approval - 13th February 2013
Medical requested - Letter dated - 24th Jan 2013 received by my husband on 29th Jan 2013

This is exactly what my husbands Ecas says: E-cas: "We received your application for permanent residence on February 21, 2013. Medical results have been received."
AOR received MArch 1st
SA received: March 18th
File Transferred: march 18th

Now no AOR or PPR from NDVO. People like MickeyIndia and a few others who have received SA's after us (some a week or two) have already received PPR's. I'm just wondering if this meant he'll be called for an interview or that our file isn't complete etc...
Our case (in my opinion) is very clear cut.

Dear if you compare my timeline with yours its clearly running late by little over a month, my application was received on 7th jan 2013 (whereas your application was received on 21st Feb 2013) my file was transferred on 13th Feb 2013 (whereas your file was transferred on 18th march 2013) and I received the PPR on 9th march. So if we simply compare my timeline with yours then you should expect the PPR within 24-25 days post the file transfer, your file was transferred on 18th March 2013 so you should expect a PPR soon. If there's something missing on your file then you would be asked for it. Also no response from CIC or NDVO doesn't necessarily mean that there's something wrong, it could also mean that your file is in queue. Well I can't comment on the interview part as I am sailing in the same boat. All we have to do is to stay positive and be patient. I'll pray that you get your PPR soon. Good luck with your application and keep us posted.

I had a quick question and hope someone can help me with it. When I went through this forum I noticed that some applicants had their status updated as "In process" at some point of time of their procedure. Mine had never said "In process". Is this normal? or does that mean that they have sent the PPR but have not started working on it or what? Would appreciate if someone can shed some light on my situation. Given below is my timeline.

E-cas: We received your application for permanent residence on January 7, 2013. Medical results have been received. (Its been the same for little over a month now.)

Many thanks in advance and keep up the good work.
