CONGRATS Arjunsingh! My timeline is also similar to yours - I am just wondering, on ur eCAS does it show that your application was received in May by New Delhi? In my PR application status, it says Received by VO (ND) on May 17, but that is actually the date application package was received in Mississauga. ND received it in June only. Just wondering if that helped jump the queue a bit...?

Also, can someone pls help me understand the following on GCMS notes. What does Group name: FCU-CA Review mean? It shows up again under Associations in Groups subheading. please find pic attached. Also I saw one section (Application 5) where it said status is "Prospective" but I am assuming it just means an application for visa issuance has been received. Please find pic attached (remove spaces to open, couldnt post otherwise) -

Holy can't believe , May Applicant got visa and ppl that applied in feb, MArch & april are still waiting.. I cant undertand how does NDVO works but m glad u got it. Enjoy your life with your wife

i guess it's just a matter of time, doesn't matter when you applied. if you check 2012 thread, there are people still waiting since nov 2012. every case is different. submit as much documents, pics, phone bills etc. you can to support your application; we gave 100 wedding pics, 60 from honeymoon and other trips, phone bills where we spent at least 4 hours talking, her divorce petition and court orders regarding custody of child, affidavits from friends and relatives that attended the weddinng from abroad; my wife is divorced with a child from first marriage. my e-cas has not changed, still showing app received on may 23 and decision made, letter has been sent to the immigration we filed with that the app is sent to NDVO. thanks for wishes & wish you all luck and hope you all hear good news soon.

Your case clearly explains that anybody can expect anything. Yes it's right that 2012 applicants with straight forward case are still waiting.

yes! however, on this forum no one is sharing any private part of application, such as divorce case, second marriage, hiring lawyer to represent them, how they got paper work done, travel history, work permit or student visa in another country, etc. I have a friend, who's mom went to india, found a girl, organised the wedding, etc, then my friend went for wedding just 2 days before and came back to canada in 3 weeks. They did not go for any honeymoon, which is something you would have to expalin to NDVO. It all contributes up, so I agree with arjun that you should provide enough information with your application to support it, so that it explains evrything without having NDVO confront you.

I do agree with you that one should provide necessary evidence to prove relationship, and it's quite easy for those who are in relationship from long time but not for those who had arrange marriage. There are few 2012 applicants who have straightforward case with long relationship (6-7 years) and they are still waiting. So it depends on visa officer that the evidence provided are enough to convince him/her.

Just received a call from my wife, who got a call from the immigration firm we filed our application with, saying that NDVO have asked me to pick up passport on august 20 next week. Decision has been made and I got my visa. Can't wait to see my lovely wife !!!!

I think it's easy for everyone. You just need to give a reason for everything. Yes, it also does depend on the officer reviewing your file. Such situations can also effect your application which people are not mentioning on this forum, such as:

a) could be that the sponsor in canada is divorced and the divorce is not yet cleared.

b) if a sponsor is divorced, and they are paying child support to child of previous marriage, it should be up to date

c) there is a 5 year ban on people coming from india, that they cannot sponsor spouse for five years, starting the date they arrived in canada

d) taxes should be up to date

e) should have lived upto sponsorship agreements, in the past, in case of second marriage

I know all this as I worked for a immigration firm 2 years ago.

Yes they do call people only in case their medical is expiring soon.

there is a reason behind those calls - coz they were urgent -- as the medicals were about to expire. And i cant see any urgency or something in ur case -- so calling you for collecting pp is kinda hard to belv - and moreover now hardly any 2013 applicant is getting any calls -- they are getting pp via mail only. NO HARD FEELINGS - BUT SRSLY I DONT TRUST U !!
