No i didnt have travel history at all and the letter i mentioned before i haven't received it yet mp said ndvo sent some letter or documents he wasnt sure and since status has changed im guessing it must b passport. My file was stuck in background check as well from last 5-6 months dont know why they tuk so long

Congratulations Sandeep , I got passport request as well and decision made on my application is online status. I hope and wish that everyone will get dere visa soon

I received my notes today. My file's location is FCU-RFV.
any idea what that mean ?

i was applied my visa on nov2013 butapplication received on december 2013. I did my remedical as december 2014. They didnt inform me to need my polic clearance certificate after that they ask me in apr 2015 my pcc. So i did send my pcc on april2015. How long i have to wait for change my status . I am in still inprocess when they will going to change decission made after wjen they will ask me my passport.? How long i have to wait. Can you guys anyone help me how long i have to wait. I feel every seconds are going like a year.

Yes i got my notes in mid march they said fcu-rfv and dur date was march 31

Hey Raavi sran, big congratulations to u ! It must be such a big relief... u have waited long...my file too stuck in background checks since forever..i dont know what is taking so long...went into inprocess Sept 18,2014 so few days after yours.
Did u have a big travel history...my husband who i am sponsoring had just travelled to canada so no idea what kind of background checks they are doing...
feeling so helpless,,,plus they have his passport since 2 years....how did u cope with this wait.,,,i really am struggling

What exactly is background check can you please elaborate is it like the applicants travel history?

Background check is done by outside agencies. They investigate your travel history. Along with this they do your credit background checks to see if you were involved in any kind of money laundering or money scam. It's a thorough investigation about everything. Your speeding tickets to you credit cards etc.

I know what you are going thru and I totally understand that. My wife visited me twice and tried to spend time with me as much as she can. She went back to Canada in Feb 2015 after our interview. It's usually background check which is time consuming. I had travel history because I am Australian pr. just hold on dere and wait u will hear something very soon. Background checks are very thorough dey take time as dey are done by outside agencies. Don't loose hope please.

this is totally insane,,,u didnt get any interview letter yet?im also july 2013 applicants ,,interview was faced before 1 and half month ago but still they are not sending re- medical request,,dont know what they are doing////////

i gave my interview before 1 and half month it was good,,and they said we ll send u a remedical request but till now i didnt get it,,im july 2013 applicant

me too 2013 did medical before 1 week and waiting for passport request,,how long does it take anybody tells me pls?

Good news after a long wait ! I'm surprised that they asked for a re-medical since these vo guys delayed the whole thing..not fair.
But anyways its all over..

cangrats raavi really it's great news that your wait is over and finally you can join your family in Canada.but still 2013 many members stuck in background checks.we are few unluckiest people who still waiting for visa.but slowly slowly they are doing their job hopefully we all get visa soon
