Hello... Anybody... How long does it take to get DM after IP... IP since oct 29... Interview same day remedical letter received same day but done november 6.... Passport is already with the embassy...

Probably from a week to a month seeing the trend lately.

Lets say the person get their visa/landing paper in India but can he/she travel from some other country?? Bcz my husband is from Afghanistana and he wants to go back home ones he gets his visa from NDVO and then come to canada. Would that work?

yes that would work. you don't have to land right away.

Y dont you apply for the CAIPS notes to check the reason of calling for interview?

What is CAIPS notes?

I applied for GCMC notes but i cant understand what is the problem.

my partner went through an interview done by white canadian lady. She was pleasant but tough in questions. No tricky questions or biased views. If you have ordered notes, you might get an idea why an interview has been ordered. But interviewer may not ask questions on those red flag issues (in my partner's case they did ask only one question though last page of the notes had half a page of various red flag issues). Go through your application and get an idea what could be the reason (previous marriage/quick marriage/spouse leaving to Canada immediately after marriage and so on) and be confideent in answering questions. There was one forum member who went for interview and they just asked simple questions like' when were you married? who attended the wedding? what is your husband doing in Canada?...'i guess she sent pretty pictures to CIC and they want to see her in person.

I got my GCMC notes but i dont know what they want to say..

does NDVO update the "medical" and "in process" at the same time...
Or first they update the Application received to Medical received then after some weeks change the status to "in process"...
my file is at AR still...
Is there anybody who got status changed from AR to MR.....
then AR & MR........to........ ..IN PROCESS

........it is a sign of interview if status change from Application received to Medical received then ,...... nothing happens for a week.....or more.....

plz help feel panicked...

Hi there,

I have not ever heard of Medical Received Status on ECAS. I never think it existed.

Did yours change to MR?

I only have heard/seen AR, IP & DM.

Visa is a permit to enter the country. You can go via any route. Even travel and return to your place. You should enter Canada within the expiry of the Visa as Immigration visa cannot be extended.
