Hi CMR
You never sent your passport to NDVO, or you got your passport back from NDVO after submitting. I am in similar situation like yours, as I got an overseas offer in Singapore and want to join that. How can I request my passport back from NDVO?
Also, hope it will not be an issue since my application status is AR. Can we give them passport for stamping once DM stage is reached. When do you plan to submit passport to NDVO for stamping? Appreciate your inputs here.

I received notes, got a phone call and status changed to IP yesterday.
The phone call was made to India and my grandmother politely informed I don't live in India. They seemed to be doing a small background check. Already emailed China mobile number three weeks back. Also sent an email asking them about the nature of the call since they didn't specify any. I still have my PP in hand and Meds expire in two weeks.
As far as the notes go, interview waived and comments said they are happy with the relationship proof we sent. They also have several pages of my correspondence with them and respective comments. Not a single email went unnoticed, just not replied to.
Eligibility-IN PROGRESS, Criminality-NOT STARTED, Security- NOT STARTED, Medical-IN PROGRESS,

And then, there are more descriptive passages on the above with updates
ELIGIBILITY
status- reccomend passed
due date - 6/11/2014
CRIMINALITY & SECURITY - Nothing, mostly blank
POLICE CERTS. - No adverse info
Meds: In Progress (?!) also due date - 5/11/2014. My meds should expire two weeks from now, it will pass the 12 month mark. Did they just extend my medical validity as per notes?

Well, that's pretty much it.

u r right, I do need a transit visa from US, so im changing my plans...im planning to go via Europe...I ope then no transit is required...what dou say? Also any update on your visa processing...good luck

European countries is a good choice.... good luck... try emirates or qator too.... which ever works out for you. all of them dont need transit visa - if you have a canadian or american visa...

i am waiting for my dates.....NDVO is kind of stuck on Jan onwards and the guys before applicants, i am praying for many of them everyday.... _()_

Thank GOD. They started my application from 1st sept....Yohooo....

I really wish they will issue ur visa before medical expires. ..bcoz I literally hate this remedical. ..I wish rest of 2013 applicants never ever received remedical request. ..

these people are big fat liars. they said they will send me remedicals yesterday and it is still not here today....and my status is still application received....is it normal?

they are always big fat liars. ..why do you believe them...
just give them 1 or 2 days time it will changed to IP soon. ..bcoz if they changed it today then it will show on ecas 3 or 4 days later so relax. ..don't take tension. ..

AIRLINE RECOMMENDATIONS:

Usually BA & KLM change places frequently for their "lowest fares" to Canada. More often it'd be BA [especially from the UK, Dubai, Europe & the Gulf sector]. U can also ask your travel agent to select between multiple carriers to provide multiple-halt choices. But, from the UK actually that might not be required. Check BA today, it'll do the trick... Dubai-Heathrow-Toronto : AED 3,860/pp return.
However, personal choise prevails. Sometimes other carriers place envious promotions too. Emirates has recently commenced the A380 [Dreamliner] service. And all their flights are 'long-haul' -Non Stop.

NOTE: If our $$$ are a consideration, avoid 'non-stop' flights. They obviously are costlier. A single-stop flight is highly recommended. Also, we might avoid travel agents as well, the 'online' reservation of all the prominent carriers are absolutely good. my frds take thru BA & it was fantastic. Paid, printed and became an 'Executive Club' member -all thru the net. The e-ticket shall be delivered, on-the-spot, in your email in-box.

No yaar, not heard any thing looks like they have started working on ADR files.... A to Z is SEP 2013 app and lets see when our turns come in.......

Yaar mine medical has already expired and they have not even send re med requset....

Did a MP inquiry after ADR. As per the inquiry, the additional documents were received by NDVO and the file was set to be reviewed again on August 28th. Was hoping for IP this week...that didn't happen
Waiting for files notes..hopefully will have them tomorrow and hopefully something positive to look forward to.

My wife's medical is expiring mid Oct. It will be nice if NDVO issues visa before the expiry date.
