i hope things move fast this week for everyone...rksandhu if u think its ur birth certificate that's causing delay, im sure u would've got an ADR...I think its only processing time after remeds...
chatwant, don't worry, ndvois speeding up everything and ADR means 30 additional days than normal time, so wait till sep mid and then go for notes...I hope ul get ur visa soon

no dear I was talk abt last year when we file our application...when I got my birth certificate after we filed our application in august. ..I got my certificate after 4 months. ..otherwise I was filed in June or July. ..

my baby's fine become naughty day b day... ;D

Since it says pa Ed means are we passed n will they issue us visa ?

Our files go through many stages of processing and locations in NDVO. As per GMCS notes of multiple users these stages are

ALU -> FCU-CA Room -> Registry -> FCR-FCU -> SC0XXXX -> FCU-DIS -> FCU-RFV


CA is for Criminal Assessment
FCR means File Check Required (FCR is assigned if there is any doubt on documents. Documents (i.e. travel docs/ certificates etc.) are verified in this stage)
SC0XXXX is the ID of the agent who will do initial review of your file (Example SC01504)
DIS is DecISion making stage and
RFV is Ready For Visa.

FCU could mean Family Class Unit or File Check Unit

If your current stage showed FCU-RFV, then PA'ED (Passed) would mean your file is ready to get visa.

I am feeling very worried as my medicals has been expired on july and did not hear anything from NDVO . I am not sure how long is the waiting game I am a November applicant. Please help guys what should I do..I came to visit my hubby not feeling like going back alone .

I wish NDVO issues VISA to each and every 2013 applicants no skipping its just soo hard...

Seniors (W2E), Vikasgandhi's comment about getting a temporary health insurance for his spouse after she lands (as it will take on an average, 2 months to get the Health Card in Canada), got me thinking. Do you think it is essential to get a temporary health insurance for our spouse before they travel?

yes..don't take chances especially (in the winter) if you have pre-existing problems (if you have for example back pain; kidney stones etc...)...if you can afford health insurance then it is better you go for it...but some people take chances and I don't know if hospitals are forced to accept patients if they declare that they don't have money...last thing you want is a big hospital bill which you cannot afford....compare different insurance companies what they offer; method of payment (sometimes you pay first and then they reimburse you); do they cover pre-existing conditions; how much they cover and what they do not cover; cost; etc....

did you get your notes? did it mention any interview recommended? what did your MP say? other than these steps, you don't have many options to find out the status of your application...normally it takes 10 months to hear anything from NDVO (they didn't touch my partner's application for 11months it was 'application received' all the way until they had interview and it changed to 'in process')

No it just says ppt recived with other docs attached to file and pa'ed. Does tht mean documents passed?

It is always good to have and health insurance as soon as the person lands here, going to a doctor is an costly affair and beyond affordability in case some have to go to emergency. Its a good idea to have it for two months and it shouldnt be more that $ 100 each month and you are fully secured at the same time.

Since everyone thinks that we should get health coverage. Does anyone know any good medical insurance company or plan. Coz the last thing we would want is any plan that doesnt work in canada and we end up wasting money on it.

no... since people in this forum who got their status to 'in process' did not have interviews (outside the forum, don't know). It takes up to 2 months to change from 'in process' to 'decision made'

We got DM since 2 weeks and still there is no PPR as of yet. I have been living with my spouse in back home since 2.5 months. Now, Iam getting worried and don't know if I should contact NDVO about PPR because Iam not now in Canada. Please help me out and share your experiences. Thanks everyone for sharing your opinions, appreciated.
