it comes like this.... i have a receipt which my wife paid 550...

when first time I checked it it is the same answer. ..make sure you fill ur surname not ur full name..
don't you have application no or UCI no...if ur wife is sponsor the she hv her own UCI no...

I understand the pain. We are not properly briefed. Time taken for getting PCC is not known. We have not studied the Canadian rules immigration requirements and not read the forum comments. We did the medicals first PCC after that. There is huge gap between the date of medicals application say five months making Re medical a requirements which is delaying our visa. Secondly 13 month is timeline CIC says. More time for some other countries. When others are getting faster mainly due to medical expiry we feel frustrated. We did mistakes. Have faith play the waiting game cool. We will here shortly.

Helo Sunsweet,

We share a similar timeline.Do your any ADR or red flags in file.Have you applied notes.We were supposed to hear goodnews by early august.Unfortunately NDVO did the twist and started withe late-nov applicants.I hope by the next week,they clear all remaining 2013 files.

The only mistake I did was getting my medicals first on Jun 10th. Then applied for my PCC which took a lot of time after the strike , When applied in Nov 6 the packet came back as signature was not affixed in one place. Resubmitted then they said there is lot of mail so acknowledgment and Sponsorship approval delayed a bit. Passport request came in 23 Jan 2014 and the same was sent. Did not apply for notes. Now re medical is awaited. No problem envisaged. Now trust by Sep we will get the visa. Wish you all the best

for eg-if you are applicant then if you fill ur surname in ur application then in ecas fill ur surname that receipt no,, your DOB. ..
if you fill ur wife's surname then make sure fill only her details not mixup your information...

hello, my wife have paid 550 CAD fee on 2nd june 2014.... it has been 2 and half month.... i want to know how can i check ecase status... i have only receipt number which start from letter R.. its 10 digit number... i wuld like to check my status whatever it is...

I guess u must be filling incorrect details.
If ur wife sponsored, put her info.
Put her surname in caps.

Hi..

I am a sept 30th applicant, Got a call on from visa office on 19th june and they asked a few questions about our marriage i asked them to watch our wedding video online, the lady called back after watching and informed me "its done" when i asked her if they need anything else and asked me to do my remedial. My Ecas status changed to IP on June 19th. Did my re medicals on 20th june. got a reply from the MP's office for our enquiry yesterday they said background checks are being done. This is so frustrating. I don't understand how they can still be doing background for sept applicants.

Same here, Even i am sep applicant, my status changed to IP on 3rd July. We got re meds done on 9th July... Till now no update.. when my hubby did MP enquiry 2 days back the MP replied that they are validating my security checks right now...

I mentioned it in Excell Data sheet. Jun10 it expired. Today I just received email from NDVO for re medical

Completed MEDICAL REPORT CHEST X-RAY REQUISITION AND REPORT form (Page 5 and 6 of IMM5419).
Duly completed Re-assessment Form
Are to be sent in 30 days time.

2) YOU CAN SEND IT THROUGH AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE
3) IT TAKES MINIMUM 10 DAYS TO GET IT BACK

I think I have a possible theory for this trend of September, October and November applicants files being processed slowly.
1. We do not have enough data for December applicants(only 7 applicants) to get to decisive results
2. 85%+ applicants of 2013 have received IP, DM or PPT

Now my theory is after processing upto August, NDVO realized that they only need to process 40%-50% of the files to meet their 80% target(they always quote timeline for 80% applicants). So most likely they jogged through September - December applicants just to keep the processing time of 80% applicants low. To justify the slow processing of rest of the applicants they gave ADR, interviews or did not touch the file left right and center.

What do you guys think?

I would love to see someone prove this theory wrong as this is not what I would like to see.

Logic for taking straight cases of last quarter files in the reverse order or later files may be to reduce the average time for processing of files.
The visa can be issued without re medical delay
These factors coupled with the new team handling fresh files made us to see jumping in the queue making us wonder why we were skipped/ ignored etc.

Thank you PALAKI for information.. But one question is what is this VFS? I thought once we get PPR we need to send passport to New delhi visa office via registered post... If I am wrong please tell me what is the process...and I live in Bangalore so do I need to submit to passport VFS in bangalore??
