Did your lawyer tell you anything about how long does it take after remedical to get DM??

she does not know..anything.....her response as to why I had not received any passport request two months after application, her answer was 'you will get it only at the end of the process' but 'madam lots of applicants got it according to this website'...'oh,really, i never heard of such things from consulate..most consulates ask at the end of the process..you must be mistaken'!! I learn more from talking to people here than with all the books and degrees she learnt from....

alifk my lawyer informed me it takes 4 to 8 weeks after re medical for next update on medical which has nothing to do with DM

one has to have all the criteria approved first like

eligibility
medical
background
security

once all r approved or passed then DM

You should sue them too , why make you wait when everything is cleared . Why put you behind others just coz you have more medical validity now . Not just you they are making your wife a Canadian citizen suffer too . It's just we say thank god we have the visa and forget everything . But what about the loss of important years of family life.

we can figure it out when we get our visas....at the very least i would write letters to foreign ministry and any other agency that deals with immigration and talk to MPs about lack of transparency and long waits....

Yes do it now . They will need your passport to stamp visa. Or you end up waiting again for another passport request . So save time and send it all together

Now, i am expecting passport request but unaware what is the status of my file in Delhi Embassy.
Can anybody help me with the current status of which application is being processed right now ?

I am new to the forum so unable to find any excel or follow up. Any help would be highly appreciated.

what i feel is in your case you shouldn't be asking how long after re medical one gets DM

you should ask how long does it take for a background check as your DM will come as soon as ur background is passed

you should apply for the note it will take a month but picture will get clear if u get your visa before that good for you and your family

I guess your file delayed because if late passport submission . I am sure you missed your passport request because ndvo was too kind

Unfortunately CIC does not prioritize family reunion anymore apparently stemming from their broad policy decisions. Families are not only suffering to the worst possible extent due to forced separation, future uncertainties coupled with long processing time also gives continuous mental shock to the affected family members. Humanitarian passion is totally missing in the system and people will be suffering more & more in future...that is the saddest part!
