Didnt you submit the PCC along with your application?
Anyway I dont think one is required any letter from Consulate to initiate the PCC. You just have to state the reason in their PCC application form like why you need PCC. Check on Gujarat Police official site if they have such form available...atleast Pune Police have that from where I did my PCC.

No I submitted PVC (Police verification certificate).... And I tried to obtain frm both d places....Passport office n police commissioner....Frm commissioners office dey said we dont provide pcc for Canada ...we only provide pvc....
Twice i tried from Passport office dey also denied....

Wen dey send a letter dey clearly mention to obtain PCc....in mine dey hvnt mentioned. ...

to apply new passport u have contact area police station and for visa apply u have to go to police comm office

IF u had PVC which i and Chirag Vadhera( who alraedy got their visa) have the same Police verification Certificate. DOnt wry u should wait from NDVO they will contact u if they need any documents. i m waiting too.

yes i already submitted (original medical and PVC ) when i apply. me and my wife tooks 2 month to complete documents thats the reason i m out of all this , i didn't get single query from NDVO

PCC IS FOR PASSPORT APPLICATION AND PVC IS FOR VISA

both are same thing there is no difference ...

Thanks pavan and pooja. I have already submitted pcc for india at the time of my application but at that time i was resident of another country so i got pcc for india from the indian embassy of that country. Just wondering if ndvo may ask for another pcc for india since am now living in india.

PCC is meant for countries where you stayed more than 6 months. As per that you have submitted the PCC including PCC . Generally NDVO do not ask for re PCC whn the PCC expires. It is normal from your side to submit PCC for India having obtained the same from the Indian Empbassy of the country where posted.
If at all they want to do further scrutiny based on the letters /PCC the NDVO can do it. The chances of asking for rePCC is nil.
As you were outside India you got the PCC from the Indian Embassy which is again natural. Now wait for the good news.

u dont worry if NDVO mail u than only u have to submit additional documents calm down everything is all rite

hiii guys current processing times were some cases 13 mnth bt nw it seems dat its 9-10 mnths nwdays aug applicants got visa in may chirag ur whole process completed in 9 mnths dat seems very positive and gud for 2014 applicants including me hope so the upcoming processing time will 6 mnths as normal processing time Jai Mata Di
