Hi All,

My wife got her PPR in May 2013 and ofcourse we are still waiting...thanks to this stupid strike....

Just got off the phone with a CIC call center agent and was told the applications are still being processed but at a slow rate....which is still very disheartening for ALL of us..specially for those who have been waiting since 2012 or even more.


I just wanted to ask the Senior Members here few questions..

1--Can i still apply for GCMS notes ...just to make sure no other factors are causing the delay and whats the latest udpate?

2--If PCC or Medical Reprt expire while CIC is working on a file...do they request it to be submitted again? (I really hope NOT..cuz that definitely is not fair..)

You can apply for GCMS notes to check what is going on with your application there is no restriction.

It depends on your Medical if this is the only thing that is holding your visa then they may ask to submit again or might wave it to issue a visa. It is upto them to decide what they are going to do so don't panic. As per PCC concern don't worry about it getting expired as they rarely ask for it unless you are traveling to other cities.

True, that's why I have stopped checking it now. It make's me so frustrated and dishearten just to see no update. I cannot believe we are having this waiting time. I am so angry now but cannot do anything except punch on walls and elevators to get my frustration out.

When will they going to issue visa's to everybody. This is the worst time in my life just waiting for my wife to come to me, I didn't do any wrong to anybody but still get this treatment.

Same here...it is extremely frustrating and shocking to see no serious measures being taken to resolve this strike...unbelievable!!!

Can we have more information regarding your application please. Like Medical send, PPR request date, any other information like you see on my left side that I have.

Also, it is only been 3 months since they received your application and if you want you can contact MP for assistance but he will most probably tell you to wait as the actual time is 10 months to complete the process.

They are lots of us who are waiting from 7 months, just hang in there.

Do not hurt your dear ones because of this, its really frustrating for all of us and it's not easy to cope up with this situation. Your loved ones and God are your strength. Keep praying....we'll get out of this situation.

I stop checking e-cas everyday, now started to check weekly lets see this Friday what comes DM or AR.
