Hello Members,

From last few days some applicants are really worried about the Apostille of their Marriage Registration Certificate. Like you guys, we were sending our Marriage Registration Certificate in the form which we were getting from Marriage Register Office i.e. Notary stamp only. Previously, in this forum,members who got their VISA and those who are getting now...never ever mention this thing....
Guys,please give some light on it.... "Apostille is required or not" ?

This is the BIGGEST MISCONCEPTION ever, I have no idea who started this, PLEASE PLEASE, you do not need to get anything attested (apostille???) from the MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OR ANY OTHER GOVERNMENT INSTITUTION. All you need to do is make a copy, get it attested by a notary public/lawyer and send that. This topic is coming up over and over again, but the answer is the same. Hope this helps and puts a stop to this topic

Marriage certificate attestation from ministry of external affairs, new delhi is [size=20pt]ASKED BY INDIAN EMBASSY to renew passport or for other counselor services NOT BY CANADIAN EMBASSY. Please for god sake don't make rumors for already frustrated married couples living in different time zones. [/size]

If you guys read the post again, whoever posted originally about the attestation of marriage certificate, that was for passport application of his 11 yr old daughter living in canada with his wife, not for his application with NDVO.

Do I need to send any email to NDVO after sending the re-medical report? I sent remedical report with my passport which they returned to do the medical.Do u know how long will it take for visa after remedical? Already status "In Process".

The wait could be anywhere from 1 week to 3-4 months. My wife has already done her remedical & it's been nearly 3 weeks now since her e-cas has shown IN PROCESS & Remedical has been received.

don't need to send any email to ndvo... and visa time is varies according to case after remedical... what is your time line? good luck to you

Just out of curiosity, do the elections in India have anything to do with the current lack of news coming from the NDVO? Will the NDVO pick up it's pace(I know! this is a joke) once the elections are over in mid-May?

Universities start in August/Sep. Are they prioritizing student visa's? Also summer is the tourist season - so priority to visitors? I have not seen such silence for so long. The Aug 1st Applicant who went into IP saw that his e-cas was updated on April 12th. So no updates for last 12 days.

I am checking trackit website also.August 5,2013 applicant got the PR on March 28.Total 235 days process.
