I got a call from NDVO today and the lady confirmed my DOB and asked if I can fly before March 5th. I said yes I CAN!!!

Now hopefully, I will get my passport soon with the visa and my long and hard wait to be with my lovely wife will finally end!!

The medical examination must be performed by a doctor from the CIC list of Panel Physicians.
You cannot choose your family doctor if his or her name is not on this list. See the list of Panel Physicians to

Once you identify a panel physician in your area, book an appointment for your medical examination.
When you schedule your appointment, please ensure that arrangements are made for your chest x-ray
and laboratory tests as well. Once your medical has been completed the doctor will forward the medical

Any costs related to the medical examination are your responsibility and are payable at the time of the
examination. Should your application be refused following the completion of your medical examination
these costs will not be refunded.

I need a suggestion should i expect an interview or not ?
I came in canada in 2011 as masters student.meT my spouse in 2012 july, living together since december 2012 married in august 2013.almost 1 and half year together.have car ,credit cards and bank account by jointname .have lot of trips in canada lot of pics.

But we have age difference of 15 years nd my parents didnt attend the wedding and her parents are deceased.

Can anyone suggest me please for the interview

Hello Shashank, below are some red flags which NDVO can call applicant to an interview.

- different religions
- different cultural backgrounds
- different educational backgrounds
- different professional backrounds
- if applicant applied in some other category and rejected several times (Any refused visa to a Western country is a red flag. One is not a big deal.The more refused visas you have, the worse it looks.)
- no formal wedding/reception
- family not at wedding
- friends not at wedding
- no/few trips together
- no/few trips to see each other
- very short period between first meeting (i.e. first getting to know each other) and marriage
- quick proposal after first meeting, followed by quick marriage
- haven't met each other's parents
- haven't met each other's friends
- age difference
- previous marriage they really need divorce, separation or annulment papers if not a big RED flag
- very different financial situations

u are june applicant ....u shld be hearing soon..... after the call it takes 2-4 weeks to get ip or dm...depending what stage your file is on......getting the call is good news coz interview is waived don't worry all seems good .....when does your medical expire?

After interview visa officer return my all documents + pics+pp I ask why u return my pp she told me this is our process.she told me she will send me the letter for re medical as my medical will expire tomorrow..

I am worried because my medical still valid till tomorrow..will they extend my medical or i have to do re medical??..

plz answer..

congrats dear so happy for u u need to go for re-medicals ....they will email u the letter very soon.......let me know the e-cas processing date when it chges............wish u all the best and speedy visa ;D

My pcc is valid till june so i dnt have to but it's valid for 1year... They will tell u if u have to redo it...

pcc is valid for a yr ....so they wont ask u to do it again...hope this helps

Such a short time to leave country! Is your medical expiring on Mar 5th, or 6th? because mine expiring on 10 mar and still no update

don't worry dear miracles do happen u shld be expecting a call in the next 7-10 days max and asking u to fly before your medicals expire (gone thru it so I can comment )....unless they have extended it for another 3 weeks.....if u apply for notes u can check the validity date there !!

Honestly, I wish I knew this last year. I delayed my medical as much as possible in 2013 so that the once I apply for PR, I should have a long validity. Now that I look back, I regret doing it.
Oh well, we all knew anyway that NVDO does not process files sequentially.

Yeah, but to apply early for medicals means also to risk that the officers miss it and you have to redo-it and wait longer... so don't worry, I'm sure your application will be processed soon, NDVO is trying to clear the blacklog and they are working on weekends also. So let's hope... :

I feel exactly the same way. But there are also so many ppl who are being asked to do re-medicals. I pity the NDVO as well. This shows that they are trying to do everything they can to ensure they clear the backlog.

June applicants with short medical validity are maybe being priorotized. But dont lose hope, ppl like you ar enext in line I would say.

So that means we do not have to send 1017 form. It will be available online to CIC.

This is getting so late for me. I am waiting patiently but a man can only wait for so long. I just prey that Allah give me more patient and more SABAR. This is the hardest time in my entire process time. My anniversary is coming close and this is the 2nd anniversary without her. I am so much in pain now but I understand that I need to wait for more time. Just prey for me guys please and thank you.
