yes it is ok to check your status and has no effect on the speed of your visa being processed..also, there is no truth that your visa gets delayed if your order notes frequently or ask your MP often to inquire on your behalf or send a case specific inquiry million times..NDVO takes its own time to process and if you are lucky you get it soon...semi said:I just want ask that is it ok to check status of application every week???? Somebody told me that it's negative effect on your case?? Is it true???
send laxatives laced laddus to visa officers for helping you to celebrate your anniversaryThe Glad 1 said:And the visa office has stored my application for 11 months now...
...looking forward to the 12th month.
it takes anywhere between 8 to 12 months to get visa assuming everything goes well without any complications.....you might get it by July but if I were you I won't quit my job or sell my house or become sanyasi or travel plans until I get my visa....rosh.ss said:Hi ,
My application was filed on Oct 3 and i got passport request on Dec 2 but i could give the passport only on January 23 due to work commitments. I received an email last week from the delhi office in reply to my inquiry confirming that they have received my passport.
I have already sent all the necessary documents (police clearance certificates, medical etc). I have applied under my wife's sponsorship and intend to travel with her in July when she makes a trip here to India. do you think i have any chance of getting the pr by July so that i can travel back along with her.

Roshan
congrats....can you and snow leopard give us some idea of questions that were asked? it will be helpful for people scheduled for interviews...TLSD said:Guys I'm sooooo happy that the interview went well ! So incredibly relieved After being on the site and hearing similar messages of encouragement and hope I really feel very thankful for everyone's contributions , the hardest advice was " hang in there , soon will be your turn " the lack of communication by NDHC makes it really difficult to hang in there . But it's really true at least in 99% of cases ( simple or not) I really want to thank PC082 , Myrah and Anishka for there support and help
I know the despair and sadness in this game it's heart breaking , not being together and really not knowing WHEN??? But do your time and get in line and don't ever give up Some applicants will have it easy and some will struggle but we will succeed at some point , have faith

Sure of course I can tell you about there questions - but it's crucial that everyone understands that questions they ask are very specific to each applicant ! There is simply NO magic answer , please understand that . After reading and preparing ourselves for the interview I can honestly say that the only sound advice I read on the forum was to know all of your specific dates of events such as visits and timelines , and to try and share your personal info with someone else here on the forum before hand to determine WHY your case has required an interview , there may be one reason or several . ONLY after that you will know WHAT questions to be prepared for . You can study and know the example questions by heart but if you are not aware of the officers concerns which resulted in an interview request then those 200+ sample questions are useless . Figure out from others WHY you were flagged for interview and be prepared to speak and answer questions on those subjects to help your case . I hope this is clear to everyone asking who's asking this questionwaiting 2 exhale said:congrats....can you and snow leopard give us some idea of questions that were asked? it will be helpful for people scheduled for interviews...
