Hey Anishka, Thank you very much for sharing your day. It does seem very difficult to go through all that questioning. Congrats on getting past this hurdle and I hope they mail your husband's visa soon.Anishka said:Thank you all for your good wishes for our interview! It works well... We have our case approved!!! It was a really tough interview for my husband... Almost 1 hours 30 min of questions and the visa officer was giving him a face like she was not trusting him... Saying that she thinks he married me just to come to Canada. He worked hard in his answer to convince her that it was not the case and at the end she called me in the office and told me the same and asked me what i am thinking about it. Then explain to her our feelings and our view of our relationship . She asked me if I was ready to live in India. I said anytime as I already have my PIO and showed it to her. So my part was only 5 min and then
she said she is convinced and our relationship is genuine.!!!
So again I repeat: who ever doubt that it really helps that sponsor is going to the interview with applicant... Trust me it makes the entire difference! Without my 5 min she would have still doubt and even rejected our case! But being together made our case stronger!
Thanks to that wonderful forum who made us being perfectly prepare to face our interview!!!

I flew in to attend the interview. My wife informed the officer that I (her husband) is here with me for the interview. They (Gori visa officer and interpreter) did not see any documentation my wife brought with her. They just questioned about the previous relationship/marriages (2) I had. They asked for the previous divorce papers and that why we did not submit both. The answer was obvious - it was not required in the application. They only wanted the most recent one. She came out only to tell me that they did not want to see me. I went in (sort of barged in) and told them that I had the documents with me in my computer and can give them right away. They said no, we must email. I told them that I had come from Canada for this, and would like to meet with them. She (Gori) said "No thank you".
My wife said that they never asked for these documents. If it was that important they should have told us. So it took them 1 year to figure this.
The visa officer also gave back:
- all the attachments (phone bills, pictures, other certificates etc) we gave in our application
- and the passport.
Please let us know what you make of this?
hmm... don't know what is happening on the NDVO side but I think you have to be a little patient because they are disorganized and are lazy to update frequently. I am sure they have received the documents but have not updated their notes.wwf said:ooohhh God

Doesn't make sense why they would give the passport back. If they were going to make a decision after they got the documents, wouldn't it make sense to keep the passport to stamp. Maybe your medicals are expiring soon so they will also be asking you to redo medicals and submit passport at the same time. But if they were concerned about missing documents, they would have given ADR, not an interview. I have a feeling they have already made the decision. And I hope I am wrong.satrup said:The weirdest Interview:
