Welcum to the forum. I am also 21 oct applicant. U need to chk ecase for ur current status. Once ur application as a sponser is approved communication will be sent via email to address mentioned in form . If u have used representative he will get a mail. Once ur form is approved it will be transferred to delhi visa off ndvo same will also ve communicated to u via email. Once it reaches ndvo ...it takes 2 weeks to 2 month for ppr via email. My file rchd ndvo on 19th nov still hvnt rcvd ppr. If u get ppr do leemme know as well plz

Thank you for your response. I can check the online status just saying that my application has been received but not sure if my step one is cleared. I check my online status at-least three times a day..lol. I will sure update if I get any status change from CIC.

Hey Pooja, did you apply your application on 21 Oct ?? Bcz i had applied in september and on the ecas it shows my application and medical were received on Oct 16. They had also sent me ppr on 13 Nov and the landing fees which we need to pay, bcz i didnt the full fees. So i have sent my passport at NDVO on 15 Nov.
I hope you will get your ppr very soon.

I don't think at this stage of the process, they can delay your leaving and ask you to re-do your medicals. Worse case scenario will be they might give you short time to pack and go (which you have done it anyway..I can imagine in your living room, next to sofa, three suitcases are packed and ready to go..those suitcases will be the topic of discussion of your relatives visiting your house..they go home pick up the phones and go "can you believe she is just showing off...displaying the suitcases in the living room? big deal..my relative..a street corner fruit vendor's cousin's daughter's daughter is in Halifax")

..might as well rent an apt near the airport or live in a caravan outside the airport

lufthansa is pretty good.....jet mind you only has service to Toronto....so if you are going somewhere else then might not be a good option.....Ideally I like United as its one big flight 14 hours from delhi to Newark and then to Canada....though their service sucks and only allow one bag......austrian airlines is also good....

dont you need a transit visa for US stopover? just wondering

I have received e-mail from CIC stating that my application has been received. They included the UCI # and application number. I can check the status online using the UCI number but it just shows application received on the website. I am not sure if my sponsorship has been approved?

Yeah even i received an email saying they have receivedthe application
My husband's sponsorship got approved in 14 days and max is 28 days we received an email stating thaf the sponsorship has been approved n now they would be transferring the file to new delhi office.
Everhthing is fine..dont worry

Does anybody has idea how long does it takes to start initial phase of verification for them? its already over 7 months still same status showing on the website 'application received'!!!!
Wondering if this delay was due to strike or this is their normal processing time. my documents will expire soon.

I am on stage 2 status App Recd.

I have a query, it took my wife 3 months to get her PCC in Mumbai.But our medical was done in June end our application got submitted in NOV does that mean the medical is expired?

Will she have to resubmit?

Yeah its normal ...the processing time is now 12 months..in my case top status changed from app received to in process after 7 months..dont worry now in 2014 as of now they are working hard hopefully your status will change.

No, you don't have to resubmit. Your wife's medical will be expiring 1 year after it as done, and that would be at the end of June or beginning of July. The PCC shouldn't expire before they finish the clearance and security checks.

They will check eligibility, criminal check and background check. Have you tried applying for GCMS notes? They would give detailed notes on how far they have processed your application.

Hi,

Not really aware about GCMS notes! I can apply but is that going to impact my application process, because I heard every time we contact them they delay the process. So I am just quitely waiting. Where do I have to go or what is the process to apply for GCMS notes?
