Man, everybody just before me are getting into IP. My app is received May 30. I can't wait for it to go into IP (at least interview is waived).

I know about the June applicant going into IP, but I think it is an exception and I am sure NDVO wanted June apps to go into IP for the performance reports to look good.

You know what ...it doesnt matter...sometimes passport is delivered with the visa stamp n the status is still application received or in process....nothing is certain about the updation on the ecas tool..so dont worry...we should bother only about the passport with the stamp... Good luck

Thanks yaa..i hope so...!! The saddest part is they dont inform you at what stage ur file is n a tentative date when u can expect ur passport.. The day i will get my passport im gonna burst crackers outside their office n run away

Hi there,
I applied for spouse sponsorship in May 2013 and sent my file to Mississauga office - Ontario and got approval. My file was sent to Delhi office on 28 th May 2013. My wife's passport was requested on july 14 2013 and She sent it next day and was received by 18 th July 2013. Since then I haven't heard anything so far (Dec 23rd 2013). No status was updated until today .Status online was "File received on May 28" so far but now its says "Started Process on 23rd Dec 2013". So I am not sure here that wats going on ....Did they need 7months just to start processing?......Can Anyone help me out on this situation please?

Hi, I guess you hadn't seen the replies to your post.
Firstly, welcome to the forum.
Secondly, congratulations on getting In Process (IP)
Thirdly, yes, it does take a while to process the applications, more so now that the Visa Office was on strike for 6 months and has been trying to clear backlogs. Plus they are lazy and hardly motivated to work.

So good luck and hope you get the visa quickly.

I hear you! Don't know what their (NDVO's) problem is and why they can't work quicker. I am sure though that they will be working faster now that they have partied a lot and are well rested after the new year.

Omg same here! I duno whats with NDVO. Its jst weird that u r already in IP but they hvnt started? Hopefully they are doing something this time. Dont worry steve. Keep the hope up and next month should be fine for you. Keeep prayingg! Smile please.

yours is more weirder than Steve's situation since you did not get into 'in process' stage yet...did you order 'notes'? I did not get passport request yet and my notes are so far 'nothing started'. Ordered a third one and we will see what it says. At this point, I am glad my ecas shows 'application received' since at least this confirms that NDVO got my application.
