I request to all the new applicants of the Spouse Visa Category of this Year (2013) to join this Forum and let us exchange our views and experience to help each other inorder to get the SPEEDY PROCESS for our PR Applications !!!!!

I applied the visa of my husband and after forwarding the case to New delhi, We submitted the passport on 7th May, 2013 and New delhi office received it on 8th May 2013, could you please advise me how long it should take to get the passport back. On online status it shows application received and medical results has been received

Medical Done ? (25-12-2012)
Application Sent to CIC ? (02-03-2013)
Application Received at CIC (05-03-2013)
Date of File Transferred to New Delhi ? (18-04-2013)
Date of Passport request (06-05-2013)
Passport submitted (07-05-2013)
Passport received (08-05-2013)

Also please advise me what would be effect of current strike PAFSO on my case and how long the strike could be continue

passport request-20th april 2013
passport sent -6th may 2013
online it says apllication receieved on 1st of march and medical has been received.

how about the info regarding passport received or not?

Hi Sukhvinder,
Your case timings are perfectly normal so far, loking at other recent similar cases.
If Mar PPR cases are getting responses now, your case could be up for review in Aug, hopefully.

The strike action should not affect normal case processing too drastically. This is what they say:

"In launching job action, we are not trying to embarrass the Government or undermine the Cabinet ministers we serve. Challenging our employer in such a public way goes against our very nature as diplomats and dedicated professionals."

The professionals won't harass general public just to get their point across. Most applicants won't even be able to vote for few years anyway.

Hi Kuljit,
The passport information will not be in eCas. One day it will change directly to decision made. ( could change to "in process" for some time along the way)
Considering all things normal/ perfect, passport submitted in Mar are being processed now in June, your husband submitted it in May, you do the math
It is all waiting game.

The maths here doesnt work as january applicants got requests of passport in march while few of the people are requested their passports in same month of application... Its a blind game u submit ur passport and start waiting...
