Myrah, on the google doc, line 30 - Sabatour, 'In process' says 10 June and DM says 5th June. typo? Also I've a Question yar - On Nov 11th, my status changed to IP and it said 'we started processing your application on Nov 8'. So what exactly is being put in the google doc for everyone under "In Process" -

Is it the date the status changed online OR
Is it the date they started processing the application?

Coz these two are different :-/

For me, the status changed online on nov 11th i.e., it's been just 3 days since the status changed. But if I go by the date they started processing my app (Nov 8), 6 days have passed... can you please explain? thanks

I'm posting on behalf of a close family friend of mine, she is a late March/Early April applicant, it was at this point her file was transfered to New Delhi and in early June the NDVO had sent for her husbands PP request to which he submitted his PP immediately along with his police transcript. But it's been since she or her husband have not heard from anyone for her husbands Visa issue. Now that the NDVO is(or has) issued many visa's to March/April applicants, would it help if she also applied for her husband's gcms notes? Would this help her case in any way? If not, is their another method she can approach to help her and her husband's case? Please let me know. Many thanks in return.

Got our shinny passport back with a dull visa lol, happpy and excited................and officially out of forum as well now...............wish u all to be kicked out of here and will pray to god do the visa processing so fast for all of u that this site canada visa is closed..................

hi dear there was an error on his timeline ...i have corrected it now.........all what he has said was - june 5th address change and
june 13 passport arrived....so he didn't have any ip......date

normally we try to sort it out with the e-cas ip date.........but lots of the forum members who have already left ..haven't really given info.....so whatever we cld we have put......and many didn't even have ip date.......that's y i added with what info u gave in the forum......hope that answers your question>?

Ordering gcms notes will not help to speed up the application but it can be helpfull as you get to know what's the progress on your file .like interview is waived or not, medicals passed and much more.It takes around 30 days to get gcms notes .Your friend can also go for mp enquiry as it is much quicker and u will get reply within two weeks.He will let you know the progress made on your application but it will not be a detailed one like gcms notes.

yes i think they shld apply for notes now it will definately help them to know what stage their file has reached.(essentially all of the notes that CIC will have on your file take 30-35 days and all detailed information).....coz may applicants have started getting good news.........or she can even do mp enquiry. (which is much faster )....... if the mp is good then definitely he/she can help them out to know what stage their file has reached.......let me know if u need more info...

Thanks Myrah. we will send the copies of police certificate, payment receipt and of course the letter, along with a cover letter and passports.
The letter from NDVO does not say anything about medical certificate. The eCAS says medicals received. Do you think we shall still send a copy of Medicals?

For the delay, actually I m visiting my wife in India in January and we were planning a vacation to Mauritius at that time. My wife will need her Indian passport for that and hence we were thinking about the delay in submitting the passport.

Wow, I was reading the forum and there is a full out war going on here. :'( ??? :'(
I don't want to continue the fight so please relax and calm down. But here are my two cents.

True this is not Myrah's forum but she does a lot for the members on this forum. She took the initiative to help with the spreadsheet and you can almost always find her glued to the computer answering our questions with patience without any doubt. I have always seen repeated questions by different forum members and Myrah answers them if someone else hasn't replied first. In other words, she is the heart of this forum. If you pick on her, there are lots of other members that will defend her. She is the only champion member with the most posts and updates on this forum and I am sure throughout the entire canadian visa website. When Myrah gets her visa, we won't kick her, we will hug her tight and give her a standing ovation and salute her for all that she has done on this forum.

Waititsover, you are not wrong too. I can say that I haven't answered most questions but that is because I get really busy with work and volunteering and have time to skim through the pages most times. Yet I try to answer some questions now and then and help the forum keep track of the IPs, DMs and PPs returned because Myrah has a lot to do. There will be some people who will get excited and busy with their own lives after that they might not have time to update us or answer our questions. Nobody has taken responsibility to answer these questions and they might not know the answers, hence they will not answer it. Do you want us all to start replying to the questions saying " sorry we don't know the answer"? That might mean a lot of replies to one question and more pages to skim through.
We have tried responding to information1234, but he may be checking rarely or the answer is a few pages after his post... That can happen. We cannot forget that all of us have lives outside of the forum. You have to wait a few days to be responded to. There is a lot going on in this forum, especially with DMs, IPs, pp return updates and the congrats that follow and then the thank yous that follow. The answer to queries do get lost in the middle.

We all have to be patient...

To the rest of the forum members, please stop with the name calling like idiot and Tatti. We are all adults here. And name calling will not help the situation, only make it worse with anger and hate...
I don't want to offend anyone, and if I did, I apologize. But please, let's just get along... We are all family here.

i didn't send the copy of medicals either and even my says medical recd....so its ok....u are good with all u sending .....
ok so that's a delay of 3 months.......u can take the risk frankly ...but when u send them the pp i wld request u to explain why u have sent it so late.........or even better send them an email now and tell them u got the ppr but your wife will be travelling in jan....so u will send the pp only after that or wait for the 2nd ppr........hope this helps....and frankly lots n lots of ppl have done this... i have been reading this all over...don't know how many agree to this but this is a fact hope this helps u .....

Finally got a response from my MP.
They are doing the background check. Since it was outsourced, they can't tell how long it is going to take.
Once the background check is complete, they will proceed with the next steps.
