My MP says that they didn't receive any update from New Delhi even after 20 days. Does it seem right?

i dont think so mp replied to me on the second day with the update from new delhi

pending review by an officer. This file is close to being finalized. It is suggested that we follow up the first week of January. Please contact me again at that time for another enquiry".. what is this means close to DM RT ?

Yes max 1-2 weeks u shld get dm - pp with visa

While we are congratulating each other or are overwhelmed with our own worries, I would also like everyone to take a moment to pray for all the victims and residents of Philippines that has been struck by Typhoon Haiyan and there is another typhoon on the way that that is about to hit the same areas again. I hope and pray that they are getting all the help they need and will make a quick recovery from this devastating disaster.

aap ka bhi number ayega. there are so many 2012 applications pending .you can check on their reprts at data.gc.ca

they might have constituted different teams for 2012 nd 2013

the mp did not contact New Delhi mp only contact Ottawa because when. Contact my mp the mp assistance call directly Ottawa that is my experience

Jan/feb/March applicants still waiting for either DM or IP ?
It feels like eternity....damn u PAFSO and CIC.

Yes it feels like eternity... When we mail our application on Jan 2nd 2013, we knew that some people are getting visa faster than the time on their website, but we were realistic, they said 30 days for sponsorship approval and 10 months for the visa approval so for sure by next Christmas we will be together... No big expectations, just their Normal delay, nothing surealistic... Now, being Mid-November having an interview recommended, still waitig for date for the same and we came to a sad conclusion... We will never be together to celebrate Christmas this year and neither be together to celebrate New Year! This is over...

Problem with file delays depends on the person's background how they presented the application. Nothing regards the year or month. Everyone's file is unique and different. When you apply just be careful how you present your application.
