hello human beings ..bunch of holidays this week but won't affect NDVO, I think..remember Nehru (patent holder of Nehru Jacket) he is having his birthday on Friday (unless ND visa officers are required to distribute candies to children at local schools and then required to go home after that hard work) and on Saturday it will be Muharaam. And if you lucky enough to live in Tamil Nadu, it is bandh day today (goodie you get another day off)

congratulations it can take 1 week to 2 months ...for DM....wish u a speedy visa

Also, with regards to my application. I had asked NDVO to return my passport as I am an NRI. which they did in Sept. Now that my application is in process, will they request my passport again? or do I send it to them when the DM is done? Any ideas?

u will have to wait for ndvo to contact u now............mostly they will call u to send pp asap......once they are ready to stamp it......it might delay your application till a month since they don't have your pp at this stage....

at least in Chennai..my neighbor said her son did not go to school because of bandh..bandh due to india's decision to attend conference in sri lanka

Hi everyone ;D my hubby got in process....it got changed literally just now, coz I checked ECAS just 15 - 30 mins back and that time it was still app received (was checking every few hours since weekend )...yay!!!!

We received your application for permanent residence on May 2, 2013.

We started processing your application on November 9, 2013.

No meds updated yet though...Now the wait for DM & Passport

check last two pages 'notes' section sometimes that gives you clue like 'medical cancelled and requested again' or 'nothing started yet' kind of statements
