Hey Guys, Can we go and meet NDVO officer personally at their embassy?? My FIL really wants to meet them as it is really getting delayed too much. I am really tired of this waiting!! I have crossed 280 days already and still with no movement in my file.. Has anyone done it?

I've done this and it's not very helpful - they have clearly mentioned outside that no inquiries on applications will be entertained.

As someone mentioned before, you won't be able to even get across security - unless you have a valid question which you have not found the answer for in any of the CIC websites. You will have to write your question and intention of meeting a visa officer on a piece of paper, pass it on to security, then they will take it to the NDVO visa officer, and then it is up to their discretion if they wish to meet you or not.

hey sanju, when did u submit pp? any other complication on your part? i am waiting since jan 3..really tired

Hi all, is it good idea to forward any other recently collected supporting documents to make them waive interview? Like tax filing report, rental agreement paper on couple,s name, CRA's letter enquiring spouse's status etc... Your opinion or experience?

Hey, submitted passport to NDVO in August after receiving the 1st GCMS notes. Apparently they sent a PPR in March sometime, which we never received.

Has your status changed to 'in process?' I can see in your timeline that your medicals will expire in December - hopefully they should get yours approved soon and then ask you to travel within the next 24 hours.... :-)

congratz to all who got dm,ip nd pp back

Thought about that option too ramkris. But once my wife comes into Canada, and if she leaves and wants to enter again - she will need her PR card. To get the PR card roughly takes 2 months, so she wouldn't be able to land and then return back in a couple of days.

Sajuabraham,
I landed in 2010, stayed for a week and left. When I was in Canada I applied for PR card and provided my friend's mailing address. Later my friend mailed me the PR card to India. I came back on my PR card again in 2012.
I would say, if you can afford the airfare for you wife landing in Canada and going back to India and someone can take care of your little angles for a week, then go for it.

Congratulations to all for DM,IP and PP back with shiny visa... :)
And wishing speedy process for rest of us ;)

Congrats all for In-process, DM, passport with Visa ;D ;D ;D
Wishing everyone else for speedy process and happy ending!!! ;)

Just my 2 cents on my process and experience; hope its useful:
Started preparing forms and documents 3 weeks prior to submission. 3 years relationship and first marriage. Following supporting documents where submitted:
1. Total 40 pictures (relationship pics, wedding pics, post wedding pics)
2. Skype call logs, emails, phone logs (only few, couldn't save all)
3. Western Union transaction records

4. Few shopping, restaurant receipts
5. 2 cover letters - sponsor, applicant

Important: Did not use any lawyer/Immigration consultant help. Never approach Immigration consultant, not a penny worth. All forms are simple and straight forward to fill. Do not use third party help, its not worth it.
