Look at my timeline, its very similar to mine. Likewise i didn't receive my passport request in march. But I received a call from NDVO on Aug 6. I check my mail 10 times daily, i will not miss it. I think NDVO made a mistake in their mailing system. I applied for GCMS notes and found out that they have fail to notify me to send the passport. I'm still waiting. No news yet!!!

So many ppl waiting for ppr so many stuck in process strike really damaged a lot .... Hopefully with the strike called off they get bk to work n get things in order.... Starting from today itself

I've applied for the Canada PR (spouse-sponsored) in June - the CIC received the application on July 19, 2013. I have received a confirmation correspondence from New Delhi Immigration office on September 18, 2013. I was asked to submit (1) landing fee (2) police clearance certificate and (3) passport.

The following is the note from the document:
* Submission of police clearance certificates for time spent in any country for a period of 6 months or more, if not already submitted.

In my application, I had submitted a Police Clearance certificate dated 16-Mar-2013.

Should I be getting a new certificate now that the submitted one is considerably outdated (I understand CIC considers anything older than 3 months as invalid document)?

Please advise.

Also, would like to know how long it would generally take for CIC to return my passport with visa (or ask me for an interview)?

I did receive similar letter from CIC.. and as far as what I did was gave the photocopy of my landing fee paid and so for the pcc's (I have 2 PCC's 1. for UK and 2. for India) and 2 photocopies of last and front page of my new passport + the original new and old passport..

Hey Pradeep,
Just write a cover letter stating you have already sent the pcc before with the entire application .
I did the same thing .

Hey myrah. No i do not have any travel history in them.

Great then nothing to worry but still I req u to mail ndvo stating the issue on the safer side coz when they mail for ppr they ask u to send all your passports

Does having an extensive travel history delays the process?

If you already paid the landing fee and PCC then you just have to submit passport nothing much that's their standard format for request Passport

don't worry just post them passport..

along with cover letter -- send the photocopies of pcc medical and fee rcpt. Good luck

they say so -- as security check takes a bit longer if one hv extensive travel history. Tho v have sent PCC's n all still they do cross check it -- this can b a reason. Not sure

Process can delays with many reasons not just a travel history...after reading all the post from I guess following can be major reasons:

1) Questionnaire form Sponsor and Spouse : This has to fill with appropriate information
2) Travel History : May cause but many here have multiple and long travel and running with appropriate time frame
3) STRIKE : this ruin many application
4) Visa Officer : it's depends on VO who is taking charge to process our file

Yes, thats the whole confusion. Since i did not receive the mail so i did not know about sending old passports. The lady over the phone also did not mention about it. But, thankyou and yes i should mail them asking about it. Most of the time they do not reply reply to the emails. Thats a problem again. Haha
