Finally ..... Part 1 of the final process is over.

My wife got her passport back this afternoon (IST) with stamp.

The NDVO GUY has been very nice to her and explained everything in details. And yes the office was almost empty as people areon strike. Only handfull of people were only there and most of the desks and offices were empty.

congrats v_sys...

Congrats v_sys. Good luck to both of you.

Did your wife get a chance to ask about the strike to NDVO guy like are they working on other applications or not ?

without asking, he informed her tht because of strike they not sending passports by speed post and also because of strikes they are processing files of those whose medical is expiring in next few weeks or days... (we can interpret the way we want but this what he mentioned)

Hey v_sys CONGRATZ IN Getting the visa.

I have a question regarding medial expiring. My wife medical is also expiring next month and there is no news. Any idea what I should do, I have requested for GCMS notes also and I am so worried now what should I do.

in my case medical expires on 5th august and it gave us only couple weeks hardly to leave so if you have more than 4 weeks left, then dont worry, yours must be on the way, however i must say that in my case i strongly thinks that MP inquiry did help, because my file was not moving any where and so far i did two MP inquires at diff times and at each time after inquiry, first time i got the passport request and second time a call for visa issue, (it may be pure coincidental , but i like to thik that way) if you have not done MP inquiry then i would recommend the same..

I strongly recommend not to use MP unless it is some months in progress, the normal time is 10 months, you should think of approaching MP when you reach somewhere 8 months or so, (just a suggestion)

I don't have any choice her medical is expiring next month and it is been 7 months now for our application and no news yet.
