Well, we received a letter from NDVO saying they need UK PCC like 5 months ago and said this is how much we need to pay if you want us to finish the processing really fast. We even paid 185.00 pounds so that we can get the UK PCC within 2 days and provide it to NDVO. Afterwards we didn't hear anything from them and now they are on strike.

@ aks. That's gay. Well hopefully we receive visas soon enough. Let me know if you have any progress on your file..

Surely, will share any progress I see in my case will update you.. But, trust me it's really frustrating. I wrote a very long letter to PAFSO couple days ago and posted onto there #Facebook account. I got the reply. It will make you laugh that all they wrote we are sorry that you and your spouse are going throw this frustration and long process due to the strike. But, there is nothing that we can do at this point. I so felt like... :-\ :-\

I urge everyone from this forum start posting your frustration about all the delay's that you are seeing in your case specially last year applicant's onto PAFSO #facebook page:https://www.facebook.com/pafso.apase. They do reply right away or less then half/hr, but keep on posting your anger and what you guys are going through.

My wife is in Ahmedabad and my application status went to "In process" one month back,
hope we both receive call soon... each day is crucial, the worst part is i have to travel to US for work in this month and struggling with the dates of my wife landing here and on the top of it we dont know which date she will have her passport back and then i can only book the ticket

Yeah, I know how you feel. I hope they don't cut it too close. Really expecting the call tomorrow, or at the latest on Wednesday.

How long they take to respond to lawyers inquiry. Our lawyer made an inquiry couple of weeks back using Delhi immigration e-mail re-delhi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca address.

They do not differentiate between enquiries/emails from applicant or lawyer or immigration consul;tant. They say that they will reply in 30 days you are past your 10 month processing period. If not, they might not respond at all. The only difference is if your MP makes an enquiry. Then they will respond, but there's no guarantee as to whether it will be useful at all. Both times my MP emailed them, they replied back within 2 days. The second time; however, it was a complete stock response saying, "processing times are 10 months," and no mention of my case at all.

The only thing there is a guarantee for is requesting GCMS notes. You will get that within 30 calendar days, and it will have complete information about the progress made on your case.

My wife got a second call from NDVO to come to new delhi and gave her date n time and confirmed that they have already issued the visa.
Waiting to see that stamp in person. Its a matter of few more days now.

Yes! Got the same call. About 3 hours ago now, i.e. 13:45 IST.
They said the visa is stamped, and that my wife can go any day now, any time between 0900 and 1500 to pick it up from their office in New Delhi. Booked our tickets for Thursday. Still unreal... but waiting for closure, once we get it all in hand, and finally, once I get her into Canada! Until the last moment, where the immigration people in Canada pass her through, I'm holding my breath!

My call was around noon time and my wife is also travelling to new delhi on thursday. The person from cic was nice n said she can come any day whichever is convinient to her. And to your point , yes , i am also gonna celebrate only once she is here in canada.

Yes it was too long unfortunately. But no regret as i managed to travel to india 3 times during this waiting period n could be with my wife. The real congratulations would be only once she is here.
