My file almost took 10 months to get over with the process. It got delayed in two stages:

1) File transferred to NDVO 2nd Nov, 2012
File received by NDVO 23rd Feb, 2012

2) PPR 1st Mar, 2013 (missed)
Sent on: 29th June, 2013 (after discovering from gcms)

If the above things would have been okay, I would have saved 3-6 months of processing time!!!

hey congratssss :D wish u all the happiness.....wanted to ask u one thing,,,,u had a delay sending the ppr...can i know what happened u didn't get the ppr? or u missed the mail....and after gcms notes did u sent it to novd with a cover letter or did they send u another ppr request

I had once read in this forum that inter religion marriages are dealt with strictly when it comes to visa issue and hardly goes off without an interview. Here, I would like to say that mine was an inter religion marriage and the processing of the file had gone very smoothly apart from the processing time, without requiring any extra documents, interview etc. Delay in the processing time was on account of other reasons and not because of any religion issue.

So whoever falls into this category need not worry, as the only thing they look out for is compatibility between the partners. Religion, community etc. do not bother the visa officers and such applications are not considered separately and are treated at par with other applications.

I had discovered from my gcms notes that PPR was made to me on 1st Mar, 13 via email, which I didn't get. I approached the mp to request for a 2nd PPR on our behalf, but when no reply had come from the mp, I made a cover letter explaining the facts and send the passport on the basis of the gcms notes. I also attached a copy of the relevant pages of the gcms notes which contained the information that PPR was sent to me. After almost 5 days, I got a call from NDVO requesting me to send my passport, to which I replied that I had already saent that. I was then asked the tracking no & the courier through which it was sent. And thereafter, things went all smooth for me.....

Last but not the least, many thanks for ur wishes!!
