v_sys said:How do we count 10 months, is it since the date we applied or is it from the date it reached new Delhi?
I have applied in August 2012 and as per that its 11 months already and the file reached new delhi on 5th october, so which date should i take in consideration for 10 months, (so far i thought it would be 5th october in my case)
this what i thought that it is only "the 10 months is the processing time after sponsorship approval, and from the date the file is sent to New Delhi."ammuknn said:As per CIC's website (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp):
There are two steps in processing family sponsorship applications. In order to know the total approximate time it may take for your application to be processed, ADD the time in step 1 to the time in step 2 (the two steps are consecutive).
Step 1 is "Assessment of Sponsor," which takes place in Canada; time for Step 1 is currently 30 days. It used to be 45 days before, and 60 days before that.
Step 2 is "Assessment of Person Being Sponsored (applicant)," which takes place in the visa office in the other country. Time for Step 2 is listed as 10 months for New Delhi Visa Office.
Thus, the 10 months is the processing time after sponsorship approval, and from the date the file is sent to New Delhi.

I wouldn't read too much into the ECAS status. For some people, it went to "In Process" early on in the process - pretty much as soon as they sent out PPR. For others, PPR came and In Process happened later, for some, In Process came before PPR. Then there are some people whose status never even showed In Process - it went straight from Application Received to Decision Made.aks.asr1 said:So, in this case my application (10) months started from starting of Dec 2012 cause it was sent to NDVO. But, can anyone explain what does "in process" means which went on March 2013 after submitting the passport..?
Thanks!

You are not the only one waiting my pal. Everybody is getting frustrated and sick of waiting but we cannot do anything. I tried calling them but damm thing just goes to machine, tried emailing them but no reply, and now I just don't know what to do. I also applied for GCMS notes but it takes 1 month.v_sys said:one more week passed by and one more week lost towards my deadline of medical expiry,,, and no news yet,,,,,,

Just want to go and do the process myself if they let me so I can at least have something done.
