Hi everyone, we have something to share and desperately seeking feedback from the Senior Members on this issue :-

I was incessantly checking eCAS since morning after I realized our file went to "In Process" a day back ! Half an hour back our status changed to "Decision Made" with NO Address Update

Following is a snapshot from my wife's eCAS status which SAYS "DECISION MADE"

--------------------------

We received [WIFE'S NAME]'s application for permanent residence on December 31, 2012.

We started processing [WIFE'S NAME] 's application on April 5, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on [WIFE'S NAME]'s application. The office will contact [WIFE'S NAME] concerning this decision.

----------------------------------------------------

We are really WORRIED about the EXACT DECISION. For a POSITIVE outcome (which we are expecting) , what's the normal protocol?
Does NDVO send out email for POSITIVE outcome OR do we just wait for the Passport ? Also, any other way to know in advance of the DECISION?

ANOTHER thing - we haven't got my CANADIAN address updated on my wife's E-CAS status yet? Does the ADDRESS UPDATE happen at the same time (The Decision Made status change happened less than an hour back ) ? or does it some time to reflect e-CAS ?

Appreciate your comments,

thanks

Congrats HM82! Its all good news. If there is no interview and no extra communication regarding any issues, it will be a positive outcome.
Also the address change will happen in couple of days.

Thanks muksi !! Believe me, its the butterflies in stomach.. I am so restless and trying to assure myself about the good news !
And now we have to do another wait ... the final wait for the Passport :)

I hope the address changes soon? Have you seen cases where it doesn't change before we get back the passport ? I wonder what's the process at NDVO?

Also, just in case - when (if any) does an interview or further question mail/communication happen? Before DM or have there been cases where there were questions from NDVO after DM?

There are cases where they received passport with visa before it changed to DM in eCAS. Even in your case the in Process happened on April 5th but ecas was updated only yesterday. So do not worry much about ecas updates.

No there wont be any interviews after DM.

Please feel free to be in contact and do mention your nick in the request.

:D

@ Maplegal
You insisted me to contact MP rather that reordering GCMS notes ant below are the steps what I did.

  • 1. Wife contacted MP by visiting his office around 15th March
  • 2. MP sent a mail to NDVO to check the status of our case and got reply on 18th March which I posted in forum that my file has not yet received at NDVO and they have just got the confirmation from CHC that it is being transferred and when it will reach they will do initial reviews and ask for Passports
  • 3. We replied to MP that Passport is already submitted since 6 months and sent GCMS and all other PPR and sponsorship approval emails.
  • 4. MP forwarded that email to NDVO on 18th March itself and sent few Gentle reminders as they didn't reply for about 10 days.
  • 5. MP got a reply from NDVO on 2nd April that our email has been forwarded to the concerned department.
  • 6. Ecas updated on 7th April that they started processing on our file on 3rd April
  • 7. DM on 12th April, Total processing time of 9 Months and 3Days

@ mumble
Thanks for the Information, it will be helpful for every member. :)
