I had noticed this but it was about 2 months ago, when they were doing an online system updates or overhaul. For a couple days, the ECAS status was inaccessible, and when it resumed service, the sponsor side changed from Decision Made to Application Received. Then a couple days later, it changed back to DM.

I TRIED TO ADD MY DETAILS ON SPREADSHEET BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO DO IT.

MY TIMELINE DETAILS ARE:

APP FILED: 07/29/2012

APP RECIEVED: 07/31/2012

SPONSORSHIP APPROVAL: 10/12/2012

PASSPORT REQUIRED: 01/21/2013

ECAS :APPLICATON & MEDICALS RECIEVED (SINCE PAST 9 MONTHS)

Hope we all get Visa for our spouse before this April month finishes... :-)
Pray everyone..

I was wondering, once a decision is made on the visa, how does NDVO return the passport? Can I include a return self addressed courier envelope? Or do they use local mail?

Also which is the best mail service to use to get the passport from ahmedabad to NDVO?

I was wondering about too. Also, since I went through an agency, the "current mailing address" on the application was the agency's address in Canada. My wife's address in India is also given, as the "residential address". Should I take any extra steps or will they automatically use the Indian address to mail the passport back?

NDVO sends it back by speed post. You do not have to send a pre-paid envelope (that rule only applies for certain countries where that option exists).

They will always send it back to your wife's address... She, or a family member, will have to sign for it when it comes to her door!

Good luck :)

Hi everyone, we have something to share and desperately seeking feedback from the Senior Members on this issue :-

I was incessantly checking eCAS since morning after I realized our file went to "In Process" a day back ! Half an hour back our status changed to "Decision Made" with NO Address Update

Following is a snapshot from my wife's eCAS status which SAYS "DECISION MADE"

--------------------------

We received [WIFE'S NAME]'s application for permanent residence on December 31, 2012.

We started processing [WIFE'S NAME] 's application on April 5, 2013.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on [WIFE'S NAME]'s application. The office will contact [WIFE'S NAME] concerning this decision.

----------------------------------------------------

We are really WORRIED about the EXACT DECISION. For a POSITIVE outcome (which we are expecting) , what's the normal protocol?
Does NDVO send out email for POSITIVE outcome OR do we just wait for the Passport ? Also, any other way to know in advance of the DECISION?

ANOTHER thing - we haven't got my CANADIAN address updated on my wife's E-CAS status yet? Does the ADDRESS UPDATE happen at the same time (The Decision Made status change happened less than an hour back ) ? or does it some time to reflect e-CAS ?

Appreciate your comments,

thanks
