Regarding the medical, do not bank on the extension... it's rather unlikely... Though it does depend on luck...
If your medical is due to expire soon, be prepared to leave soon if you get your PP

Actually I don't know what to hope for, if they extend my medical by 6 months, it means they have 6 more months to keep my PP. If they don't extend my medical, I'll get my passport back by the expiry but I'll be in a panic to leave from here.

I think if it were up to me, I'll choose the passport back by expiry plus panic packing over waiting 6 months!

I have tried sending case specific queries to NDVO , did couple of times, also fax the query, no reply to any of those.... dont know what to do... now after reading couple of memebers rejection decision... I am really worreid...

Don't worry too much v_sys. No PPR yet is not really a bad sign. I sometimes I wish I had gotten my PPR much closer to my DM date (whenever that may be).

It's hard to sit here without a passport and no news of it.

At least you are free to travel, if you need to travel for work etc. Or if you want to meet your spouse.

Not like those of us sitting here, waiting without passports for more than 5 months.

Ya zenn, i understand what you are saying. As per the notes, everything was complete. The last note by the officer said, relationship genuine. plz ask applicant to submit pp for visa issuance as soon as bc check is clear and a note was made couple days later saying back ground check is clear and complete. However, we received no request from them after this. And this note was made in oct.

Ya i know they try to make the deadline. I am prepared to fly as soon as i hear from nd to come submit pp for visa issuance

Yep, thats what i am thinking too. If i dont hear next week, then I gotta wait for remedical or medical extension. Sighh

If we book ticket for spouse and if in the passport her surname is not changed to that of spouse then what initials are to be put in the ticket system.

Is it MS or MRS ???

Your ticket has to correspond with the passport. If the name in the passport is the maiden name, then it's Miss first name, last name.

Not trying to be negative, but you should be warned that if you are In Process March 21, does not in any way mean that you will get the passport back by June. Unless your VO has called you and promised that they will get your PP back to you with the DM by June.

For example, I have been In Process since October 4th 2012. No news. No DM yet, no sign of passport.

If you want to book a ticket, make sure the airline will let you reschedule it, and ask what fee they may charge and what the validity of the ticket is.

Hello addcited123...During my interview I was told by VO that she's satisfied with my interview..that's y she requested redone medical and passport for visa stamp..I submitted to them on DEC 10,2012... I was extremely happy at that time..I thought its only matter of few weeks I 'll get my pp back with visa stamp on it..;therefore, I noticed my status changed on March 16,2013 from IN PROCESS TO DM..At that time I started distributing sweets to all Relatives and friends and also my wife booked airline ticket for me from Canada..I was eagerly waiting for my passport back with visa on it..but I didn't know that after waiting 20 days instead of passport I'll get refusal letter from Bastards..They said that they sent private inquiry after interview where they found my case is not Real..so my friend don't assume anything till u get your pp back with visa on it..you never know when can they change their mind... :-[ :-[..I don't want to make you disappoint this is the fact..Anything can happen till you get your pp back with visa on it..I wish you good luck..
