Just Got a phone call from MP office and we did not get anything new and got the same information which we'd got a four days ago in GCMS Notes, that RPRF paid, Medical Passed, Eligibility Passed, Criminality: In Progress

MP office said that Half background has been checked,,,,,What a foolish answer from a MP office....is there any meter of checking the percentage of Background check...

MP office also told to currently there is no bring forward date so follow up after 30 days.

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH NDVO........HOW MANY MONTHS THEY WOULD TAKE TO DO A CRIMINALITY CHECK???

the only difference we had seen in GCMS that Paper file location is now in Registry. What that mean??

It is really height of frustration....................

What's your travel history like? How many passports did you submit?

I'm asking because last week our MP told us something similar, that they are doing the background check.

I just looked at your old post, I see you have quite a travel history, US, UK, Canada, Schengen visas etc. So do I.

From what I've read, they get an external agency to do the background check, so that may be the hold up. The good news is, background check is the last stage. Which means we are almost done, so don't worry, we'll get our DMs anytime now.

What rubbish , half of background check means what ?

By the end of the day we have no choice , then to wait . It is actually frustrating now . After reading your post , I'm not expecting anything concrete for our MP enquiry .

Thanks for some moral supportive answer. But how long they would take normally for Background check?? VO was told me that Visa would be done in January or Feb but is almost half month passed of March even.

That to after going thru an interview ( not to forget a successful interview ) . I think the whole team is sleeping , NDVO and the agency they hire for background check .

I'm sure there must be some way to know how much more time they will take from now to issue the visa .

The same situation is mine. Is there any concession of time when it comes to PR for the wife and kid? His sponsor DM was very fast even PPR for me was also quite before time. PPR was at 2nd march. Do you think it will be faster for me and our kid. FYI my husband serves the Canadian Govt.

I'm getting anxious day by day.

Please reply if you can throw some light.
