Some news from one of our old members - LondonOntario. His wife was an April 17th applicant and had received her PP with visa on 10 Jan 2013. She had gone thru an interview and upon requesting he shared the details of her experience:
Interview is always dependent on personal circumstances. It widely varies but there are some common elements that i would like to stress upon.
1. don't be overdressed like showing off that u are married. Some girls wear bangles and sindoor etc-. My wife didn't put any sindoor or anything flashy just simple jeans and sweater.
2. if they ask your wife will her parents also live in canada later, tell them no, they are settled here.
3. look into the eye while answering. if u look up means u are guessing, if u look down means u are lying.
4. bring all documentation u have with u to the interview. I feel they rely more on your verbal answers than any documentation. my wife wasn't asked to show any documents. her intw was 10 mins only. but just to be on a safer side, bring everything.
please post this to the forum too, i don't know which one it is. These were the basics, apart from that the spouse should remember every detail about their husband like how he got PR, school. college, inlaws full address in india, phone number etc-. If he asks u this and u answer fluently this shows it's not a scam marriage, u are really in touch with inlaws in india.
