Just spoke to the Call Center agent at CIC in Canada and they said that not able to check e-Cas status should be a because of a technical issue.
They cannot tell me the status of the file on the phone because they do not have access to files which have been transferred to the visa office. They looked up my client ID and they were able to pull up my details but nothing else. Hope they fix this soon!
