Just got home from work !!

Well, System is still down.. certificate authentication.. BS.. Poor CIC, no money to update their website..
Can't see my ecas..

Hey.. update me what is your situation, did your representative got any response from CHC-ND, just share your drawback so i will work on my wife accordingly.

Strange !! Isn't it !! did your representative forwarded that email to you,
Well if you are instructed for a medical, did you received any letter from them to fulfill their requirement within a certain time frame..
When did your representative got a response, i mean a week ago. month ago..

Alright... so my spouse had sent an case specific enquiry through the website in early November 2012. A reply came this morning saying that the file is still pending initial review.

The passport is with them for over 2 months now. From what I can see on the forum, some passports have been away for more than 3 months. Is this even legal? I seriously want to find out and try to get the attention of some proper authorities. This is beyond not acceptable!

i spent almost two months in India thinking that passport for wife would be here any day ...how much longer could NDVO take ? ...but they have defied all logic..
Officially now 101 days since we sent passport...
How do they expect people to live without the passport...People have life/business and responsibilities to take care of....They have actually put life on hold for all...and the funny part to all this is that I (we all also) know that it is in vain...they will take their own sweet time

Hey! I completely understand your frustration. I'm in the same boat. How about we all keep in touch once the applicants are in canada and send one email with all our signatures to the immigration ministry?

Mumble, I finally decided to log onto this site and read what is happening with everyone. The past couple of weeks I didn't want to even come to this site, because I didn't even want to think of this visa process and the trauma and headache it is causing all of us.
I'm beginning to get more and more angry with this system. No wonder people opt to get in to the country illegally !
They just give the legitimate people like us such a hard time .... and Mumble, this is not going to be the 1st time you are going to bang your head against a wall when dealing with stuff in Canada .
I don't understand how holding on to a non criminal person's passport for 4 months, for an undefined period, with NO details disclosed as to WHAT they are doing with the passport for such a long time, in a Democracy is even legal! And at the end of the day, after depriving the individual of his freedom rights, there is NO guarantee of even getting a Visa.
Try doing this with a Canadian's or American's passport !!
At the end of the day, they treat us like criminals until they decide for some reason we are not.
I'm not even sure if all this is even worth it anymore ....

I'm not trying to defend anybody here. But we're all in the same boat. But, if you look at other country's CHC VO threads, you'll see that this keeping passport for months is unique to India. The people working in NDVO are a mix of Canadians and Indians. There is no way for us to know what's going on. The least we can do is raise an alarm with the Immigration Ministry. Canada cares about it's image and needs talented people like us to go and contribute to the economy.

Don't lose hope. We'll get through.

Practically it is not possible !! This is a immigration process, and they are slow that we knew it already, Federal Government of canada initializing and there is discussion on the parliaments to speed up the immigration process.. They need more labor market on Eastern provinces. Ontario Employment rate is very unfavorable. and most of you, coming to ontario province.

friend i m here wth my wife from 21 sept 2012. now almost 4 months .every day hving hope to get a passport.

You dont believe they have hold my wife passport for almost 11 months now.. still waiting...

Yes he did forward the email to me . And it said , the office has received and reviewed the requested documents . The file is currently in process. . Your client Will receive medical instruction shortly in order for her to immigrate to canada . This mail we received in the first week of Jan .
