The MP is the member of parliament for the area in Canada the sponsor lives in. Your lawyer/immigration consultant is not an MP.

You can do a simple google search to find out who the MP in the sponsor's area is. This person has the authority to inquire the status of your application from NDVO and you can approach him/her to find out more information.

Hey Paul and Calgary2013,
We have timelines that are close. I have not received my PPR either. Looking at spreadsheet, mostly they have sent ppr within 2 to 6 weeks. But lately i guess they have not sent ppr's for files received in November and after. Maybe they have changed the process and this might be the new trend (they might ask for passport when they are done with processing). But its my guess.

Yeah... Muksi, paul1982, 21865, n4dpatel, jainanchal, calgury2013 and I are following approximately same timeline and waiting for passport request... Do let every1 know if u have any updates from NDVO....

Looking at spreadsheet, It seems in the files transferred after 31 Oct, they have stopped asking for passports as they were asking in previous cases (in 2-3 weeks) ...
