Hi -

I got decision made today in ecas. Eagerly waiting for passport now ;D

Thanks

Well, congratulations bro ;)

Hey guys,

I dont know how good of a news it is but I sent my Passport to NDVO on 19th November. I also attached a letter saying that one of the letters in my name on ECAS is spelled wrong, also on the PPR (which means that the person who filled in my info on their system the first time in Mississauga made a typo error).

Today, I saw that the right spelling have been updated on ECAS.

I think they verified the name on the Forms I submitted along with the passport before changing it on ECAS.

Does this mean that they now have taken my file on hand or at least did the initial review?

Hoping for the best.

Hi CalgarySprings,
I was reading your earlier posts. Looks like you called NDVO to request your passport back. I'm also planning to do so, as it's been 4 months I've submitted my passport. Missing my husband a lot. I've a valid visitor visa. Can someone ask for passport in the middle of the process? What did NDVO tell you if you called them for this? Thanks, waiting eagerly for reply from you or anyone experienced in this situation.

Guys ,

Before proceeding with common-law application submission I called CIC to confirm what i need to provide to prove separation of my partner from her ex spouse.

CIC told me if my partner does not have a valid divorce then take a declaration of separation signed by my partner. That is enough to prove the separation. and suggest me you better concentrate more on getting evidence to prove your relation.

So any comment from experts on this. Do I need to confirm again with anyone about the proof that we are submitting to show my partner's separation?

Please put your inputs

I was thinking of requesting my passport back from New Delhi but never did it. It certainly adds delay to your case. IMHO please hang on, that would be best for now.
