Guys, Just wanted to know that if anybody from Canadian Embassy ever called or enquired in any way whether the person sponsoring his/her spouse is presently living in canada or not...?

Dear lucky4canada there are some possibilties that they may call and also ask you about your spouse he/she is residing with you presently in India as in some cases after marriage sponsorer will be returning back to canada then he/she may complete their application formalities and stay for few months and return back India to stay with you untill the complete assessment of your case so in that circumstances they might call you or may not may not, its not mandatory that they may call you unless you mention in your application i guess so.

Hey lucky4canada your query is under confusion, please rectify your said question once again, you mean to say that:

# CHC, NDVO's call received by us here in India?
or
# CIC, NDVO called to the sponsorer in canada?

When an application that has been sent to CIC has been opened, checked for completeness, and an employee has begun to process it (enter into the computer system, etc.).

But how long ???????????????????????

Im from Pakistan.. was just going through the posts.. You guys are so lucky masha'Allah that your processes takes less than six months.. We have to wait for 12-14 months for our process to end and that too depends on luck.. I hope my process gets done soon inshaa'Allah..

Wife landed on Monday. Her landing interview was smooth, they just asked her few questions and said that they will mail her PR card in 6 weeks time.
