Hi guys my wife has received the passport and COPR today. Spouse Application status details:

In Process - 30/Oct/2012
Decision Made - 04/Nov/2012

Post despatched- 07/Nov/2012 from Chanakyapuri
Post received- 15/Nov/2012.

It was the reissue of visa and COPR as there was a mistake in the previous COPR. It took six weeks to re-issue the same.

Request to people waiting for Passport and COPR: If you notice the status is DM please wait for the passport. Do not get worried. Because CHC post the PP late sometimes. I have received PP 11 days after DM. And keep in touch with the post office once you get DM.

So your first visa and copr was issued even before your online status went 'in process' ?

Hi, my first visa was issued on 10/Sep/2012. I noticed two addresses (Canada and mailing address) on the online ECAS on 12/Sep/2012. I received the PP on 18/Sep/2012. My online application status was still "Application Received." It changed to DM after 4/5 days of receiving PP.

Very soon. Aap tension mat lo. Aap Ecas check karte raho. Usme do (two) addresses aapko dikhega. Iska matlab aapka visa issue ho gaya aur passport is on the way. good luck.

It really hurts when I go through spreadasheet and see that there are only 7 8 april applicantswho haven't got the visa and if we go by PPR date then we see that almost all august ppr's are now turned into DM's

What to do yaar, we all were not like these before, after frequently ecas checks, no updates, long waitings, tension toh hota hi hai na yaar, any ways congrats buddy, wish you really a happy future and best of lucks with bottom of my heart and keep visting to this forum sometimes when you get free time.

Guys, Just wanted to know that if anybody from Canadian Embassy ever called or enquired in any way whether the person sponsoring his/her spouse is presently living in canada or not...?

Hi 1one1; I would suggest that you request to put the application on hold as you have a valid reason. I have seen people doing that before. Also, i was wondering why did you not submit it at first place.I have similar case to you and submitted the FBI clearance right when i applied. My passport has been sent to New Delhi and i am waiting for the approval. I applied back in Feb 2012. So probably yours will be similar timeline to mine.

Thanks scorpionking, pb36l, ripyghuman, VPS for suggestions, I already got my fingerprint done on 9 Nov and mailed those to FBI. I called FBI to request them to expedite the process but they said they do not have any expedite service and complete process of FBI clearance will take around 6 weeks.
I called CIC call centre in Canada to get time extension, but they said that they only deal with processing in Canada and I have to contact NDVO for the same. So I emailed NDVO requesting them to give me more time to submit FBI clearance.
Ripyghuman, I came to usa in march and at application submission time i was not expecting it to take so long.

Hey lucky4canada your query is under confusion, please rectify your said question once again, you mean to say that:

# CHC, NDVO's call received by us here in India?
or
# CIC, NDVO called to the sponsorer in canada?
