Thanks mumble. I just received the PPR by Email today. I was waiting for a Mail post but I am glad to see that ND are sending out Emails.

If you have received a PPR today then we all can hope that more Updates and PPR requests also can be expected further from NDVO.

yeah .. it went to in process .. n i got second mail from them for ppr on sep 19 n i sent mine the same day

as the cases applied in may end n few f june 1st week have alrdy got visas,,,

Honestly I dont know and I dont know anyone who knows either, but if i were to guess...its random checks on certain applications 'maybe'

hmm yeah may be ... but thats not fair actually.,..
n recent no activity was due to canadian pm visit to india.. as embassy was busy with preprations and all related to it... ( thats what i heard )
so hopefully this week shows sm change fr gud...

Absolutely, it was a big visit and im pretty sure it added to the delay and then diwali does tend to slow down office work too...2 more days this week but not very high hopes...

@MANVEEN...we have the exact same timelines.applied.approval and PPR same day...but we cudnt sent our PP till oct 20 and we din get any 2 email for PP and our case went to process on oct 19 before they got our PP...

Welcome to the forum Manveen. Your details have been added. Frankly none of use know why its taking so long for CIC and why people who have filed after us have already completed their processing. Its a cause of distress to many. Lets hope all these long waits are over soon.

# If PCC are not Background checks then what are background checks and why are they done?
# Who does background checks?
# Once we submit PCC along with our documents filed that will be more enough to satisfy them for our assessments, but still our cases are delayed, is that
just because for our background checks?
# If they do background checks then why do they require PCC during submissions of our applications?

app Received.: 29-05-2012
File Transfer...: 09-07-2012
ppr and AOR :27-07-2012
in-process:15-10-2012

I received mail on 9 nov,2012 from NDVO to submit FBI clearance till 15 dec,2012. and it is written on mail that failure to submit within time period could result in refusal of your application.
in Note :medicals are valid till 15 jan,2013

but FBI will process application in 6 weeks.

I e-mailed NDVO for some time extension but didn't get any reply yet.

could anyone tell me what happens if any deadline is missed?
or please suggest any solution

Nice to see you in this forum and regarding your case, since you received your mail on 9th Nov 2012, you have the whole thing left in your hands are 30 days, your case is little bit complicated as they have very clearly mentioned that if you fail to submit the requirement they have demanded then your case will be refused.

I suggest you to apply the FBI clearance at the earliest and email once again to CHC, NDVO enquiry along with the time duration that takes to get received from them so that they may put up hold your case and make them consider your application for approval.
