Can someone tell me what's the best way to get address change completed? Email or Fax? Thank you.

I believe email is the better option.. if you`d got ur AOR via email then u get the info for address change in the same..

I applied on Apr-30-2012

Got AOR from Canada on Aug-08-2012

I am assuming the file was transferred to New Delhi right away but since Aug-08-2012 I haven't heard anything from ND. They haven't even asked for PP yet.

Hello CalgarySpring,

This is really ridiculous, that after submitting additional documents you
have to wait so long. I am in similar boat, in another 4 days it will be a
month after sending additional documents for me. This is utter nonsense that
they have made a joke of marriage, come on to what extent one has to
prove a genuineness for the marriage. Utter nonsense.

Hi Friends,

I received an additional document request asking for post marriage communication proof including email/skype chat logs on 08/20 and we submitted everything on 8/27( we were given a month time for submission) ... I have not heard back anything after that ... Have anyone among you been in same situation. Can someone help me know how long does it usually take for processing if they ask for additional docs?

My passport is with them from July 1st and I have travel plans for US .. IS there a way I can call them and get my passport back? or check status on phone

I sent the additional documents on August 21.
I have even approached MP. The MP told me that the visa office has received the documents and visa would be issued soon. But now it is more than 3 months since the passport was submitted and there is no decision made or communication received.

The website indicates that New Delhi takes 9 months to process application. So, MP has advised me to wait until March 2013. This is ridiculous !

Its really ridiculous of CIC. Comeon they keep passport for 3 months and no communication
even with additional documents received. Its really a torture.

Is ridiculous because after receiving docs they should spend sunstantial time 1-2 months. If they are
not satisfied ask for an interview or make the application in process/or make a decision. I dont even understand
whats the use of asking passport well in advance. Its really ridiculous, as they also in this
Bull Shit processing wont let the sponsor visit india for a good time and also wont issue the
spouse the visa. how come Feb guys still waiting when already additional docs have been dubmitted. really tortorous and painful, i can just say that.

They need to learn something from USA. If they are very consorned abt there country thy need to take interview of every applicant.so tht thy can come to know genuineness of a person.......CHC ppl try to pretend smart but in actual thy are not.......Players always clear there process easily nd thy always torture genuine ppl.

quick question? my husband got passport request on september 1st and we coudnt send passport till october 22,2012...but just checked ecas says in process.it says they start processing our file on october19,2012.....

how come they start processing our file without having passport.

kmartin, u r absolutely correct, but one comment, even US process sucks big time, there is
no rule whom they give visa or whom they dont, its even more tortorous in US.
