They are not asking for the same documents, I am sorry but you are mistaken. Please see below for the process of getting a divorce in Canada. 1. Step one is to get a settlement outside of the court. You normally get a settlement agreement between the two people who are trying to get a divorce. 2. After the settlement agreement has been achieved and one year from the date of separation has passed, you apply for a divorce using a document called divorce petition (also known as divorce application). 3. After the divorce is granted then the judge issues a divorce order, but the divorce order cannot be used everywhere. 4. After you receive the divorce order you can order a divorce When you filed the application for immigration, in the document checklist immigration canada only requested number. Process complete. ----------------------------------------------------------------------When you filed the application for immigration, in the document checklist immigration canada only requested number 4. You would have not submitted any of the other items. In the email communication they are now asking you for 2 and 3. But I would recommend you should send them 1, 2, and 3. Number 1 however not everyone always has, it depends if a lawyer was involved in your divorce. But if you have it you should send it.
Regards, MiSara
I would recomwnd sending them the divorce application and divorce order again. You can get a certified copy of both from the court. Are you in Canada or india. If you are in india then someone who you know in Canada can get it from the court on your behalf. Since the family law files are public record you will not need to give authorization.
You might have sent the divorce application but they might have misplaced it.
Try to get certified copies from the court. If you don't have te divorce order right now, send the divorce application right away and tell them in your correspondence that you are getting the divorce order and will send it as soon as you get it.
