I have a question as I m little worried about my process
I received a phone call on 27 aug from vo nd and she confirmed some info about my file and I don't see any
Change yet. Any one who got DM after phone interview please mention
And how long it took after interview for DM

Are you sure you submitted the petition with the application? That is a separate document. I'm sure a lot of divorcees didn't submit the divorce petition with the application. I am also one is those, I only submitted the judgement and certificate. I was not sure they wanted the petition. But regardless, if they have requested those documents, I would just send them over to them ASAP, in order to avoid any unnecessary delays.

Are you and your spouse both divorcees? Just curious to know as that is my case.

Hmmm, I too wonder why they are asking for the documents again.... So to be safe just courier them again, it's not worth taking any risk of non compliance.... But don't worry, maybe they misplaced the ones you already submitted. You are very close to the final decision. Be positive and Good Luck!

CanadaVisa2012, my guess is, like any other Service Organization, CIC Visa officers would be working as per their daily schedule, reviewing files based on their timeline etc..but the results of their review is mostly updated on their website every friday. I have seen this trend. May be because the IT guy who has the responsibility of entering data in website is doing this every friday. (Obviously he wont update CIC website case after case). This is just a logical guess...

Yes santrek, I think you r right, NDVO work for the whole week and collect all the DM and then they choice one day to update their website either friday or saturday. So most probably coming friday or Saturday we will DM

Hi,
There is no other alternative except sending that docs again. One thing you can do is to contact your MP state the matter with fact that you have already submited docs but that will also take 2 weeks so while doing this better to send them required docs with cover letter and mention that you are submiting this docs again.
But before submiting same docs pls understand and discuss that whether they are asking for same docs or additional/others. Pls share list of requirements with the forum members. They may be able to guide you.

Well Said RGP, they need to check r they asking the same doc or some more supporting doc..and this should not be delayed bcoz it can delay file process...

They are not asking for the same documents, I am sorry but you are mistaken. Please see below for the process of getting a divorce in Canada. 1. Step one is to get a settlement outside of the court. You normally get a settlement agreement between the two people who are trying to get a divorce. 2. After the settlement agreement has been achieved and one year from the date of separation has passed, you apply for a divorce using a document called divorce petition (also known as divorce application). 3. After the divorce is granted then the judge issues a divorce order, but the divorce order cannot be used everywhere. 4. After you receive the divorce order you can order a divorce certificate. Process complete. ----------------------------------------------------------------------When you filed the application for immigration, in the document checklist immigration canada only requested number 4. You would have not submitted any of the other items. In the email communication they are now asking you for 2 and 3. But I would recommend you should send them 1, 2, and 3. Number 1 however not everyone always has, it depends if a lawyer was involved in your divorce. But if you have it you should send it.

hi guys sorry i was away from the thread from a long time.
congratulation to all the people who got their passport with the shiny visa...
i have a very urgent question.
new Delhi visa office has send us a post on 23rd of June 2012 and i haven't received the post yet.
i got their e-mail today that we send a mail to you on 23rd June for requested document but i don't know whr the post went.
if i didn't receive the post, did it went back to the visa office or its still at post office?

this what really happen I was not able to afford good lawyer.... I just went to cheap one ....... he did this divorce application for me ........I got divorce in 2007 ...… I am not sure what I got from the lawyer . I did not had my divorce certificate I went to my lawyer and gave he said he have given me every thing and they give me just the file ### before I came to get married I went to court and got my petition and divorce certificate that is all I have...… pls reply me.... pls
