My wife got her passport back today.

Seems CIC doesn't updat ee-cas, it still shows "In-Process".

Thankyou all for your support and much needed advices.

Thanks KingCobra. I haven't asked her that. Last thursday the application went in process and friday the canadian address appeared on the site. hopefully friday they must have stamped it.

me tooo no update don't worry we are in same line my wife also expecting in october i wish that we both get our visa before the day comes. i know it's weird they already issuing visas for march applicants. well just wait and pray our file will be next i wish u gud luck that u get ur visa soon so u can be with your wife before the day comes.

One more thing the main status shows application received but by clicking underlined status it shows that visa office has reviewed ur file and processing has begun what does it mean. Visa office means Delhi office na

I think I am the only Jan applicant who hasn't got the visa. It just says "Application received". Am so fed up!

Ashunandal-How much time do I have before I can submit my passport without causing any delays and or before receiving a reminder?

when you send them email or mail regarding extension for passport submission, they will reply you and tell you that, they will request your pp at later stage. when you will get 2nd ppr, they will give you due date also.

hi Balkan, we can not predict exact time taken by CHC but in most of the cases ND takes 2 weeks to 2 months. if your case is simple and straight, i mean not a lot of travel or work history, no past relationship and submitted more than enough proof supporting your relationship, you will get DM within 2-3 weeks.
in case of ECAS, i think its mistake by ND or their system is updating slowly- slowly you will get "in process" maybe direct DM soon on ecas.
