got visas and passports for my wife and daughter

I guess they mailed the passport first , and then update ECAS.

Hey all!
Just received my GCMS notes. Noticed I passed all categories and was approved way back on Oct29,2012!! Can't seem to understand what the delay was all about..must have something to do with the yearly quota? Maybe. Anyhow, so good to see the notes- ALL CLEAR!!:-D

Hey Zeenish, Just out of curiosity..Does your Security also sat 'Passed'? I gather from other members that, security is not reflected in GCMS.

Hey mumble, did you have to write any letter to allow your husband to apply for GCMS? Or did he do it all by himself without any letter from you?

Seems like the GCMS application we made had some error.

Finally got the passport ! Only people in this forum and there spouse's can understand what we all go through with each passing day in the wait !! It seems like just a simple wait to some but it gets us all at some time and in a bad way ! Only lesson I seem to have got from all this is , we can get all things in life : money, fame , career etc BUT the only thing which really matters is Being close to the people you love , especially the special one !! I hope I can carry this thought all my life through
Rest all happens when it is supposed to !
Just cherish togetherness when you get it and we all know someday everyone will !!!!

Congrats to all those who got their Visas and passports and DMs etc.

But I am with Chitraajay here. This is not a very fair system. If they decided to make sponsorship time lesser, then some consideration should be given to people who wasted 3-4 months waiting.

I am in this forum since the time I applied. Then the sponsorship timing was 90-120 days. However, the time taken later was not bad. After sponsorship people usually got visas in say 2-3 months. For people like me, rahulCD, APScorpion, thinkpad, parthpatel and so many others, sponsorship time was three months, we lost almost a month or 2 over there. To add to the harassment, instead of granting sponsorship sequentially, they started june before may. So we were all left farther behind

When our sponsorship was done, we expected out files to be done in another two months.
But then began the the nightmare we did not even imagine. All those who went 'In process' in September, we just stuck there, For what now is clear as quota reasons.

Our MP did bring in a good news. Frankly I do not know how much to trust him, but I do. Its the only way to keep me happy. Not only for myself but so many others who have been stuck since ages. Because it means all our files are cleared. I will be happy when I get my DM, no doubt. But I will still be disappointed with the process. Its a despicable process. Its not going to make me think about the country 'Canada' like I would have, if the embassy was fair with people like me.

You can make a cover letter with all details and also do mention your home address in India.... They will send back your pp on your address in India....

oops..sorry...yes...they accept scanned signatures..and it saves a lot of courier time.

Application received: Aug. 13 2013
Application Approved: Oct. 19 2012
Passport required: Nov 03, 2012
Passport Received: Nov . 13, 2012
Ecas went In Process: Not sure but I think right after they received the passport.

And also to whoever is updating the spreadsheet, if you can add me to it that would be appreciated. Thanx.
