It would be great if you guys can let me know all about these GCMS notes...contacting a MP ( i m not even sure what it stands for... ...) ....when should we order them , are they really required considering my application timeline.....how are they ordered...etc...who provides them....!!??

GCMS = Global Case Management System. These are the notes on your file. E.g. their notes on whether the relationship is genuine, whether they think an interview is necessary etc. They may help you understand what is taking so long.

MP = member of parliament. This is the MP in the area where the sponsor is. You find this person's name online and depends on the town where your sponsor stays. The MP can make an enquiry on your behalf to find out about the application.

You have to send a request for GCMS notes and pay a $5 fee. Usually it takes about a month for you to get your notes. You can get the info here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/index.asp

FYI my husband and I have also ordered the notes as have many other people in this forum. You can look at some of the latest posts to see examples of GCMS notes. AND you and I have the same PP request date. It won't hurt to order the notes. At least it will put your mind at ease knowing they have at least dusted off your file and have started work on it!

GCMS notes are pretty informative about what has happened to your file so far at every stage starting from day 1 when it was first received in Mississauga.. It takes out many suspenses and makes you feel better knowing what has passed (like medical, criminality check etc) and what is still waiting about your file or if there is any concerning note made on your file... I think it makes more sense if your file has been there for few months to order notes as by then most of your checks might have been done..

So please fill both the forms and give the print out and scan long with your consent form with you and your sponsor signature in the box

and These 3 copies along with your signatures and one of the online payment receipt of 5 $ has to email it at ATIP-AIPRP @ cic.gc.ca

and the payment and receipt has to be obtained at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp

We ordered them earlier this week. And from what other forum members are reporting it takes about 30 days to get them. So I'm expecting them sometime in Jan. I'm hoping my passport comes before that. I want to bring in the new year with my husband in canada. not here.

Dear All,

My wife sent her passport to Delhi VO on 3rd Nov and VO received it on 5th Nov. But my ecas status is still "Application Received".

Any applicants who send their passport to Delhi VO in Oct ending or Nov1st week ?

I see that users Can_here_i_come and riya batra applied same time as me, can some one reply on this. It's been 42 days, hmm waiting for status change at least...

we were requested PPR on 5th Nov and received by NDVO on 6th Nov. no update - only shows application received, in all reality they havent event touched the file or linked the medicals to it yet. its holiday season and lots of people go on vacation before year end so things will move slowly till second week of Jan.

Hey Rupesh... even my hubby applied in August and I got PPR on 2nd Nov. Passport sent on 6Th. But like so many
Applicants I'm in queue too with 'application received". Inshallah all pending applicants will see light soon

You never know. NDVO works in strange ways. Stay positive.

And you can order GCMS notes at any point. Depends on when you want to since it can take a month to get them, you may want to wait a month after you send your PP just to see how much it has progressed. But that's just my opinion.
