New Delhi - 2012 applicants

I have Permanent Resident (PR) since Aug,2011. I got PR under skilled workers category. Therefore,I did show $13,000 CAD at the Toronto Airport. My wife has got approved in her spousal sponsorship. She will land to Canada in Jan,2013. I am going to India for a visit and she will come with me.

I am not sure does she need to show any funds at the airport? or any of my payslips or letter from the current employer?

As far as I know, You dont have to show any proof of currency for Spousal Landing..If they ask anything about the money you will be there to answer them and you are her sponsor and you can show your pay slips, employer letter,bank statements etc etc if they ASK.So nothing to worry and just relax and enjoy ur life in Canada...

after a roller coaster 6 months and more.... we finally got our passport back... yes the visa is shiny and definitely looks worth waiting for.

we are preparing for the flight and it would be nice to be together this holiday season.

one question guys... what are the formalities around carrying the wedding jewellery. can we just carry everything in the handbag or do we need to bring in the receipts from the stores in india... how do we declare that in india... any help would be most welcome.

I am the unluckiest person I think. Still waitting....I dont know what going on...I am May 17th applicant and process in on sep 28 but still didnt get visa......I hope I dont get visa interview..I have a doubt..I will have a visa interview

I do not understand what fresh hell is this. Its very hard to believe that I do not have VISA yet. Sometimes I wonder if I will be able to be with my husband. Its been just so long. It has taken all the charm out of it.

I understand how much in pain are you in. I think intw is waived for you as your case is in process now. Dont worry your wife will get her pp back sooon... dont loose hope and prayers to god help us a lot..

Let me tell you chitra...I dont like to eat, I dont like to talk with anyone, I dont like to reply anyone..I just hate it this visa system.. even I am losing hope on god to..there is not god...I hate everything..

You can not imaging , How much I hate this visa system and specially The way ND is working....the worst things is, they even dont give a damn and dont tell anything...U can not believe it ..I m losing trust on my In-laws side too..some people who apply in june they are getting visa and why not us? I hate my self why I am here ? now I dont even more trust on God..I am done for everythings

Don't worry mumble. There's little we can do now that we have sent our passports in. I completely understand your feelings but think of it this way, each day that passes brings us 1 day closer to getting the passport back!

Keep yourself busy with friends and family. Where in India are you located if I may ask?

Don't lose hope! We need to realise this is the way their system works. All we can do is give our feedback.

And I also went through the phase of not wanting to talk to anyone or say anything because people don't understand this system. They think I must have done something to screw up the application which is why it's taking so long. But I've realised that my time to get my passport back is coming closer every day! And I need to cherish what little time I have here with my family in India (I'm not a resident of India, only a citizen, so my parents are not here). Who knows when we'll get to come back here once we're in Canada!
