hi guys!!!

My wife is the applicant in our case. File Received 1 june

file transfered to NDVO

Passport requested 27 august

passport submitted 1 september

Till then no news. ECAS status showing application recv'd and medicals also recv'd

My question is. My wife is a dentist who has a Dental equvilancy exam on 1 feb. Considering the delays that are going around, is it possible to apply for her tourist visa so that she can come and give exam? will they allow it? has anyone been in similar situation or heard of it? Please advice.

Feb is a long way off. If your passport has been submitted in Sept then I think your process will be over much before. Just wait for a couple of days.

Haaaa !! A new day, a new week. Hopes are still alive. I need to see either status change or I want to give some "chaai Paani" to the postman for bringing my passport back this week . Lol. Our postman generally asks for chaai paani when he brings some stuff which is long awaited and brings good news.

I just registered here yesterday. Want to include my details to the thread to see when I can get PPR.
Here is the details for my application.

Sponsership application sent to Miss: 5th July 2012
File reviewed and Transfered: 19th Sep 2012
Medical completed: 05th May 2012
Current status update: Medical received
Waiting for Passport request from New Delhi:

Waiting for Visa.

I am not sure why the processing time in ND had gone up from 6 to 9 months since I first started this process.
Help me to understand how long will it take them to contact me for PPR.
I hope my wife can join me for the family day in Feb 2013.

One question, PPR will be sent to my mail Id or a letter to my spouse address in India

Hey friend!! Generally ppr is received after 3 weeks once your file is tranfered to ND, but there are some cases too in which applicant receive PPR at the end of the process when they are ready to stamp the visa. So its totally unpredictable. Moreover whole process is unpredictable, I would say as many people who applied after me has already landed in Canada and m still waiting for any update, so it differs from case to case and depends on luck too.

And PPR generally comes through e mail and you may get it via phone or snail mail too. Hope I helped you all the best and I wish you two be together on Family day.

I have replied to their letter on 27th October 2012,

- A detailed letter explaining my intentions to establish in Canada
- A letter from my family member in Canada
- An one-way air ticket to Canada
